I was a little disheartened on Wednesday with the news that neither of Rob’s films were included in the first release of the Sydney Film Festival schedule, and I was inclined to start my wrap up with “Still tapping my foot for a trailer for either Life or Queen of the Desert.  We have distribution for both here in Australia so tick tock.” But on Saturday morning Cassian Elwes tweeted that they might have a distribution deal and potential release date so … *twirls*.  As for the Sydney Film Festival, there’s still a chance one of the films could be included, but we won’t know until 6 May since that is when the full schedule is unleashed. We started the week off with ‘stache Rob although it feels like it’s just rubbing salt into the wounds! But then we finally saw Rob in his T E Lawrence costume yesterday. Oh I know there have been loads of illegally taken screenshots of Rob in costume flitting around the internet, but I wanted a real photo so I was happy to wait. The photo of Rob with that lion cub – J.E.A.L.O.U.S and not of the lion cub because it’s being held by Rob, but the fact that Rob got to hold one. It’s on my bucket list – holding a lion cub – not being held by Rob … oh wait maybe that should be included too *asif!* I found a few more DVD releases for Maps to the Stars and during those searches I came across some pics that were new to me of Rob at TIFF. Gorgeous man is gorgeous. Jules spoilt us again – how beautiful were those heartbreaking gifs for her letter “H” *sniff*.  And how gorgeous is her edit for our week in review! I’ve been waiting to unleash it all day. We had a few throwbacks to some vintage Rob – Vertigo reminded us how beautiful he was at the HFPA Awards and I couldn’t go past “diirrttttt” for what Rob was going to use to wash his hair so Les’s fat ass kid could go to space camp again. Still remember the day that teaser came out. Hilarious. I was snooping around for some distributor news and came across Studio Canal being the distributor in New Zealand and France for Lost City of Z. I suspect since Studio Canal now has distribution in France, Australia & NZ that it will undoubtedly release in Germany and the UK too, but until I see it listed on their upcoming releases I won’t include on the list since I’m just speculating. I see Liam Cunningham has a mancrush on Rob. It’s to be expected though – Rob bewitches almost everyone in his path. Don’t forget that ABC2 is screening the entire Twilight Saga over the remaining 4 weeks – New Moon is up this Sunday night|repeated on Monday night and this inspired my reminder/flashback post because who doesn’t want to see Clocktower Eddie … until next week when hopefully we start the week off with Cassian giving us those release dates *sideeyes Transmission*

Happy Easter 2015 edit by Jules
Thank you again for the great week’s review. Love the pictures we got to finally see of Rob in costume and holding the lion cub! You must have an interesting bucket list 🙂
Thank you Maria for another great week in review. We might be lucky yet to have one of Rob’s movies at the Sydney festival. Fingers crossed. Really loved those pics of Rob with the lion cub. Looking forward to more Rob news. :))
So I still can have hope for SFF? That will help me sleep tonight
Awesome wrap Maria. It was the week of staches, lion cubs and welcomed sobbing.
@Jules – I think I should call you Speedy Conzales for this edit
I think most of Rob’s ‘to-be-released’ films are on my personal bucket list. Lion cub cuddle, not so much! Maybe you can do an ‘article’ for the website about baby lions and contact the Sydney zoo – bring Vertigo as your ‘camera woman’ and see how far you get with the idea! ha ha ha! Thanks for the awesome round up, Maria!
Hahaha absolutely GOLD re your bucket list and being held by Rob *giggles* Fantastic round up as always, brilliant thank you 🙂
