‘Eric Packer’

Rob as Eric Packer, there are no words for how brilliant he is – nope NONE.  I still remember so vividly watching Cosmopolis for the first time – WOW WOW WOW I was completely blown away. I still feel the same every.single.time I watch.  Let’s celebrate Rob’s Eric shall we.  I couldn’t choose between gifs & a collage, so I didn’t *giggles*

Michele Rob was mesmerising as Eric Packer, to be in every scene in the movie and have the audience hypnotised by his brilliant portrayal of the unfeeling cold eyed Eric Packer, showed the world just what a talented and gifted actor he is. Not being nominated for best actor in fact completely ignored just goes to show what one eyed these muppets are.

I love every little thing about Cosmopolis. I can’t play favorites any more. There are too many Rob movies I love but this one is special. It opened up a whole new world for Rob, that I am sure he would have fought long and hard to get get entry into if it wasn’t for Cronenberg’s foresight casting him here. Rob still had to deliver, and boy, did he!. Eric’s dislocation, then swagger and eventual thudding into reality is incredible to watch.
Don’t get me started on the perfection of the dialogue. I am not as witty as Delillo

@Carmel I agree 100% with you there are far to many of his movies to pick, although I am tied between “The Rover” and “Cosmopollis ” as for David Cronenberg the man is a genius a saint, the only one who looked beyond that beautiful face and saw a very talented young actor, well done Mr Cronenberg

Oh Michelle I absolutely LOVE Gifs! Especially ones with Rob. How spectacular was Rob as Eric Packer. I think this was the role that got other actors and industry peeps taking notice.
*pfft* We won’t judge them on their tardiness lol

I love that you didn’t choose, @Michelle. One should NEVER have to choose. The more Rob……. or in this case, Eric, the better.

Excellent! Michelle, you have now earned a very valuable lesson about not making people choose. Remember that next month when you put up three gorgeous photos of Rob and ask us to choose one as a winner. 😀 (and ditto to what everyone above said!)

Ladies may I just say one more thing about Rob and “Cosmopolis”, any other young actor who had that long scene with the brilliant Paul Giamatti could easily have been swallowed up by the presence of the man he is after all a scene stealer. But it didn’t happen to Rob he was Giamatti’s
equal, such is the talent of Mr Pattinson

So true @Barbara so so true. Even people I know who weren’t fans of the film agreed that the final scene with Rob and Paul was exceptional.
