The Men’s Style article we posted mentioned that Nan Goldin’s “1000 Lives” was a poster set not a book.   Pattinson AW has been fortunate to receive a copy (we won’t go into the debacle that is Amazon) and she explains:

“So in #1000Lives is not a book but a box/coffret containing 13 large posters of the Dior campaign by Nan Goldin. It is superb!”
“It contains 13 gorgeous posters, 57 x 42 cm (22 x 16 inch?). Some photos that we know already and new ones too!”
“And between each poster there is the quote, word by word: “Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today.””

Here’s a little lookey into the book thanks to @Nicole2dogs via Rob’sPromotion and @claraberg1

Fingers crossed I get mine!! Anyone else order one?

@Sare, I just left a message on the other post. I ordered (7th Sept), but it seems Amazon has cancelled my order without even telling me ~ just checked my account with them, they’ve deleted my entire history! (It was there at midnight last night!)

These pics are absolutely beautiful though, so thanks for posting. Let’s hope everyone who gets their hands on a Nan Goldin Coffret appreciates them fully, as I’m sure they will.

Amazon UK are just unbelievable & they didn’t even send you an email Sue to say sorry, how unprofessional is that. They are going to lose sooooo much business over the way they have handled this. My order is still showing up as ‘not yet dispatched’ but am expecting either an email or my order to disappear any time now.

The pictures are so beautiful, love them all. I hope that the lucky few that do receive theirs enjoy.

Thank you so much for sharing, they are just gorgeous. I have received an email advising my order has been cancelled :(. (I had ordered early Sept) – I am happy for the people who do receive their orders and are fans of Rob so fingers crossed for all of you still waiting on delivery

The book looks amazing. At least we get to see it here.

I do hope someone from RPAU gets lucky with this. Good luck to anyone who still hasn’t got one of those nasty Amazon emails

This is so sad. It’s not just a matter of ‘losing business’ – how many fan’s hopes have been dashed because of Amazon’s incompetence? But really, did the publishers not realise that 500 copies was always going to be an inadequate number? This is just screaming for piracy. Stupid stupid stupid. They could have made fans so happy and made a profit, too, if they’d just had a little forethought. I really hope they re-think this and order more copies printed – they know now, how many people want them from the pre-orders, right? Or was that the whole point? Hmmm. Something doesn’t add up.

@Trish – it’s actually still available via French websites.

Like I said in a tweet – I’m over being held hostage by this publisher. I don’t need the posters.
