CBC Live @ TIFF – “An insider view on the industry side of TIFF — and just a smidge of Robert Pattinson gossip. The Sept. 11 edition of CBC Live @ TIFF featured an interview with producer Martin Katz, whose next project is director David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars (featuring former “sparklevamp” and Cosmopolis leading man Pattinson).”  Martin starts at about 11.53, but he talks Rob at 16.45

I love that I’m now quite fascinated by this entire movie industry, from listening to/about directors, how these festivals work (I swear a couple of years ago I’d never even HEARD of TIFF) etc. We’re so lucky that you lovely ladies bring it all to our attention here at RPAU, effectively doing all the dirty work for us. Thank you.

“We have the scissors and comb that cut Rob’s hair at the end of Cosmopolis”. Okay, THAT made me laugh.

Double ditto what Sue and Carmel said. I love all this peripheral info that you feed us – it puts things in perspective, too, understanding the industry a little better, not just the finished product at the cinema. I’ve been a borderline-fanatical film buff since I was 14 (a lot of years!) so I appreciate how much work and thought goes into making even the awful ones. Some of my most profound life-changing moments have come from cinema, one of which is the reason I visit this site.
    Thanks again, Maria!
