We all know how much we love The London Film Review, so when they tweeted earlier today that they were compiling their list of overlooked films for 2012 and if anyone wanted to guess what was on it, I cheekily tweeted them Cosmopolis.  I mean who can forget Dave’s fantastic review.  Not me that’s for sure.  So am I surprised to see what’s no. 1 ….

If only all critics were as great as Dave.  I recommend you head on over to TLFR here so you can see what movies you should see that you might have missed.

Awesome!! Great news to end the day thanks Maria. It was definitely overlooked and misjudged by a lot of critics who were biased against Rob IMO. I’m going to bed with a big smile on my face tonight!!!

So happy about it Maria… and happy for you too. When I read that this morning I thought of you right away…. I’m just sorry the film did not get more good reviews when it was in theaters… I agree with Cronenberg about that. Well, at least, a lot of critics now talk about it… they should have talked better about it before… i just don’t get it!

    F**king Awesome!!!!!

I think Cosmopolis will stay in people’s minds for a very long time. It has that mark of greatness about it that makes it unforgettable. Even if you didn’t like it. It wouldn’t be the first great movie to go unappreciated in its time.

    Loved reading Dave’s review again!

Cosmopolis was the best movie I’ve seen in a long time – it made me stop, think and feel things both outside of myself and deep within my core. Being no.1 on this list is another thumbs up which is so well deserved. Thanks for the link Maria.

It has been interesting reading Twitter lately also with recent reviews (a lot of very positive ones) – shame some people just don’t appreciate what they have at the time and try to broaden some of their thinking – this review is awesome, thank you Maria for posting and great to see that there are other people who appreciate great acting and talent.

Thank you so much Dave for seeing Cosmopolis for the brilliant movie that it is & giving Rob & the movie the recognition that they so truly deserve. Just had to read Dave’s review again too – LOVE. If only all critics were like Dave indeed Maria,

I cannot ever express how much I love Cosmopolis. Such a brilliant movie that blows my mind each & every time I watch. If only everyone who watched appreciated it in the way they should. They really are missing out by failing to see how amazing it is. Thanks for posting Maria,

*pumps fist in the air* YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!
This is great news – only confirms my theory that this film is a sleeper – when all the Twilight hoopla fades into oblivion and the bias against Rob because of it goes with it, people will take another look at this film and see it for the absolute classic it is. Cult classic all over it. Thanks for passing this on, Maria.

Brilliant news, thanks Maria (and the awesome Dave). It’s such a shame more people haven’t seen this….it deserves so much more. There surely wasn’t a film like it this year or any year for a good while….absolutely memorable, spellbinding and thought provoking with amazing performances all around. What’s not to love? 🙂
