Thanks to Joanne for the tip!
Thats awesome! I think id still like to test my luck of catching an actual glimpse of him in the flesh though!
Seeing Jacob early – so so exciting!! What a wonderful night it will be. Thanks so much Maria & Joanne 😀
I’m with you there Sare although this is really tempting!!! Maybe i could check out the red carpet and sprint to the George St screening. I’m no athlete but for Rob I would give running a try!!
I agree, I can’t pass up the slightest chance of seeing Rob in the flesh. Even to know I’m in the same street as him will be awesome. But thanks for keeping us informed Maria
Yeah I posted this because it’s being held Australia wide and well not everyone will be lucky enough to in Sydney on the night.
ooooh i dont know what to do now!
Wow that’s really exciting! What a privelage to be able to see it the same night as the premiere 🙂
No, no running, i’m taking my chances at seeing the real thing!!! I can wait another 6 days for the actual movie.
@Vicky we could make a run for it! I wonder how far up George St the cinema is from the theatre? We can skip the hor’douves and just see the movie! Even if we’re a few minutes late, it doesn’t matter, because you know we’re going to see the movie many times anyway. I think it will add an extra element of excitement to this whole expedition.
But then on the other hand, it’s so exciting to know that rob would be in the theatre with us just outside.
Ahhh, the dilemma!
You lucky things are all obviously in Sydney!
Anyone on here likely to be going to Robina or Pacific Fair?
According to Google Maps the cinema is 0.6 km – 7 minute walk from the theatre (I love google maps!!)
Carolyn, it’s not really that far and it is tempting. Don’t forget Sunrise is going to have the competition to walk the red carpet. You know we’ll have to have a crack at that!!!
Liz, only for Rob. Left 12 years ago and now i’m just a tourist LOL!!
@Carolyn just so you know – George St complex is about 2.5 large city blocks away from the State Theatre.
I’d say 10 minutes – 7 would be power walking / running and that’s if you catch the lights. It’s more like 1km
What happened to Victoria – no Jacob that’s not fair. 🙂
We could always just buy the Vmax or traditional tickets, at least we know we have the option. If we don’t use them, oh well, then we’ve lost $30. I know it’s a bit excessive, but this whole weekend is excessive!! I say let’s go for it!
@Vicky, that’s so funny. I’m pricing flights down from the goldcoast now and trying to recruit friends to go so I know which cinema to book. 🙂
I really want to go to the George street one too – we’ll know the girls from RPAU – they’ll all be sprinting through George street.
I’ll pack my runners. That 600m will be done in 3min 40 by my calculations (that’s of course if one don’t fall instantly in love and he doesn’t ask me to stay) 😉
Good point. I’ll talk to my friend and see what she says!!
Liz, the more the merrier an i’m sure we’ll be quite the sight sprinting down George St!!! If he does ask you to stay just remember your friends from RPAU LOL!!!
I agree, it’s such a great opportunity for peeps Australia wide to see it before the already moved forward release date. 😀
Wow that just sounds heavenly and like so much fun. God how I wish I was in Australia. To those going, know I’ll be with you celebraing in spirit.
Aw man why no screenings in MLB?
Ohhhhhhhhh why are they being so mean to Victoria?
So we get NOTHING!
Why, why, why?
So not fair, I will be crying at home whilst everybody is basking in his glorious glow in Sydney and the rest of Australia gets this preview.
Why are they torruting us in Melbourne, bastards.
How can we get hold of tickets to the State Theatre? That will be awesome!!!!
@Teresa – at this stage no tickets are being sold for the premiere. If it changes we will let you all know.
I just bought tickets for George Street and Im gonna be doing the sprint….how awesome is this going to be….
Anyone going to George St for the movie wanting to do the sprint from the premiere with me….. Im coming from WA with my daughter and would love some company????
Sarah, i’m seriously thinking about it. my friend is talking about going to the movie and holding some seats for the sprinters (if she can hold seats). Will know for sure tomorrow night!!
@ Vicki… when I booked my seats I had to choose seat numbers…. so I guess they just stay empty til I get there…oh I cant wait…
WOOHOO LADIES! I’M COMING TO SYDNEY!
I know its rude to type in capitals but anything less would just be wrong.
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!
SQUUUEEEEEEEEEEE!
See you at the State Theatre, then George Street. Gold Class anyone else?
@Sara My friends and I are prepared for a sprint – you and you’re daughter can run with us 😉
@Liz…thankyou that will be fantastic…..will have to arrange a meetup somewhere…I have no idea where I am going….I could not pass up this chance though…. roll on Sydney woohoo
That;s good to know Sarah. I’ll have to let her know. Even if we get seperated for the movie i’m sure we coud meet up after to discuss. Plenty of places on George St for that!!
Liz I think there’s going to be a whole group of us sprinting down George St!!!
VMax tickets booked. Definite starter for the sprint, count me in, woohoo!!!!
Ok so Michelle tells me she’s unapproved a few comments in this thread.
I kind of know how Rob feels now where people just refuse to listen to anything he says.
I understand everyone’s excited about this event and people want to meet up – but I’ve asked on numerous occasions for no personal information to be posted in our comments field.
If you want to meet up with people then please send us an email either to gmail or hotmail accounts and we will pass on details. This actually creates more work for us but people really – we don’t want your personal plans, details information available through this website.
That is all.
Oh except this is the last time I’m going to say this – in future all comments will just be unapproved.
Now really that is all.
Oh I am sooo sorry about my comments I havent been on here that long and didnt realise I couldnt write these things…please accept my apology and delete my comments…..sorry
Oh @Maria. I’m so sorry. Same as Sarah I didnt realize you weren’t meant to write personal comments on here either.
I completely understand if u need to delete any of my comments as well.
I’ll have a bit o a scope around the site and check what u mean.
Is it ok to say that you have booked to go to a cinema but just not organize to meet up? Or is mentioning where u are going already too much ( please don’t think I’m being a smarty either – I’m just not really a blogger).
Hope we didn’t create too much work for you and @Michelle.
🙁
@Liz we just don’t like seeing people’s personal details or too much information on the site merely because there are other people who lurk on this site that are not interested in Rob. It might sound paranoid but we just don’t like anyone’s details out there for these people to see. I seriously delete on average between 30 to 50 spammers a day. You know – you just don’t know who it is that’s lurking and that’s our reasoning.
@kespax – I’ve done a post today advising which cinemas in Melbourne are holding the special screenings – it’s happening!
@Jane – I’ve done a post today letting you know which cinemas are doing Chicks for Flicks in Victoria 🙂
