Following Maria’s gorgeous photo post (how great is that one),  I thought I too would share one of my favourite Rob photos with you all.  This one is from the Hollywood Awards Gala from last October where Rob picked up the ‘New Hollywood Award’

Although there are many lovely photos of Rob from this event, the one I have chosen to share with you would have to be my most favourite. I love the expression on Rob’s face in this one.  Such a beautiful photo.

Rob there’s no need to nervously run your fingers through your hair.  Oh wait – maybe there is – that’s right you’ve seen the choices we have made for tomorrow night’s post of “July Pic of the Month” .  Ah that’s why you’re nervous – how could Le Grand Rob compete with Sex Drive, Inglorius Bastards and Rome.   Don’t worry, this is still one of my faves, so since it’s been another quiet day I thought I’d share tonight.

Rob has made it onto another list & this time it is Forbes: The Year’s 10 Fastest-Rising Stars.  Rob has came in at #7, tied with Anna Paquin of True Blood. Not quite sure how there can be a tie in this list but I thought a #7 ranking was pretty darn impressive.  Maria thinks they tied because Rob plays the piano & Anna was in The Piano.  I think she may be onto something there lol!   By the way, how gorgeous is that picture posted above.  One of my favourites from Cannes for sure.

Pattinson, tied for seventh place with fellow vampire Anna Paquin of True Blood, has created a teenage heartthrob empire since the release of Twilight in November 2008. The film, whose opening box office earnings were $70 million, played in theaters for over four months. Pattinson has been featured on several magazine covers, including the April 2009 cover of GQ magazine, and is slated to have lead roles in three upcoming films, including the sequel to Twilight in theaters this November.

I’m happy to say (for Rob’s sake) not much is happening at the moment while he prepares to start filming Remember Me next Monday (our fingers are crossed that they will cast Tom Sturridge as Aidan – wishful thinking but hey not really a stretch is it and it’s opportune given he’s in NY at the moment).  We could have posted the clip of Peter Facinelli talking about Rob’s paranoia (again), but we just refuse to have Ryan Creapfest on this site given that he’s now decided that Rob is not “his flavour of the month” (Ryan get a life otherwise I will post that god awful photo of you as a child and see how you like to be made fun of).  So instead here is one of my favourite photos of Rob in, yep you guessed it, Rome during the Melbooks signing – the Helmut Lang shirt, sleeves rolled, hand through hair, did I mention the shirt …

I know it may be very very hard to drag your eyes away from this pic, believe me Maria & I know the feeling.  In fact Maria couldn’t do this post because she was dazzled and speechless (as hard as that is to believe – Maria being speechless not the dazzled)

Now onto the post lol.

Jed from the Movie-Fanatic has posted his final list in  the Top 50 Hottest Young Actors in Hollywood & Rob has made it into the Top 10, yay!   Very well deserved as we all know.  Jed has ranked Rob at #5 in his list & this is what he has to say:

# 5 – Robert Pattinson: He puts himself into this ‘gentle’ ‘fetal like position’ to protect himself from the outside world. But then again, he has the guts to portray a gay artist named Dali and a bland, almost fatalistic guy named Art in a movie named How To Be. Is he Hollywood’s next golden boy?

You will see there are two videos this week, although the second one is just a post bonus because we think it compliments our choice.  Both videos are thanks to YouTube user Kristaynuh.  The first video is Kristina meeting Rob at Hot Topic in San Francisco whilst wearing a tshirt with Tom Sturridge’s face on it.  Rob’s reaction, when he finally realises what she is wearing, is priceless – also he’s just so sweet to her in this – how can you not love it.   The second video is audio only, but it’s Rob talking about the incident during a radio interview the following day.  We hope you enjoy both.
