If I had started writing this wrap up on Wednesday morning it would have started something like this:  *Sobbinguncontrollably*. First no movie with Robert De Niro. Now no drug dealing, leather clad motorbike Rob. What is wrong with this world. I don’t want to see Divergent|Insurgent|Belligerent or whatever the next “ent” will be. I saw Twilight I don’t need no more franchises. What I want is interesting stories and new characters, even if I did see Inherent Vice and I have no idea what I watched. At least it made me think rather than roll my eyes so far back I saw yesterday. Ugh. At least I woke up to that new outtake from Autumn de Wilde. Thank you Autumn you clearly knew how sad I was. BUT instead it’s going to start off with “OMfreakingG” Rob’s in final talks to costar with Al Pacino, Idris Elba, Benecio Del Toro and *cough* James Franco *cough*. I think the only other costar other than Pacino that would have made me wipe those tears away from no Bobby DeNiro would be Jack Nicholson. *CARTWHEELS*. So now the “Harmony Korine Untilted Project” has become “The Trap” on our Films page. I haven’t completely discounted that Assayas has given up on Idol’s Eye, but Rob’s getting busier and busier like he promised, so you just never know. And it’s not like his age will make a difference so we could see it sometime in the next few years. I’m going to go with that because I just can’t believe that they could not get financing for that film. Two new castmates have been added to The Childhood of a Leader and I speculated about whether we would see the film premiere at either Venice or TIFF in September 2015. Variety confirmed that it’s not ready to be at Cannes – like 2 months is even remotely possible for a new director to unleash his first attempt at one of the most prestigious international film festivals. *rollseyes* at Variety’s clickbait that worked since I read the article ha! Michelle reintroduced The Year That Was with her 2012 Cannes gifs and I posted one of my favourite interviews during Rob’s Sydney promo of Breaking Dawn Pt 2. I love how Rob gives us great moments and soundbites from interviews. Hmmmm maybe I should go through each promo and put together a post for best soundbites|reactions from Rob.  Michelle also took us on a walk down memory lane with her Letter “H” – the handprint ceremony felt like it was just yesterday and I didn’t really expect to be standing in Rob’s shoes last year, but I did and it was glorioius. Peter Lindbergh is trying to make me look like a liar by confirming the photoshoot for a new Dior campaign – shrugs – I’m just reporting what I’m told. Maybe it’s early days and they don’t know either. Time will tell I guess. Better to have low expectations and be surprised than high and be disappointed. Maps to the Stars DVD came out in Oz. I hope you all went out and bought it. And I didn’t predict how nostalgic I would get when I saw Edward Cullen on my TV. I’m probably going to watch Twilight tonight even though I have the DVDs. The first film is still my favourite of the series. Who would have tought. Until next week when hopefully we get some release dates for Queen of the Desert and Life … just putting it out there.

Well let me start off by getting the crappy news out of the way. It was confirmed to me this week that currently there is no new campaign scheduled this year in Australia for Rob and Dior. Boo. I thought I would feel better getting that off my chest, but unsurprisingly I don’t. Still wondering what that photoshoot in LA was for – perhaps another European or US campaign? Time will tell I guess. Hope you all had a wonderful St Patz Day *giggles*. Yeah that was a stretch but you know you all loved it. Also love that Aussies received an early release of Maps to the Stars via iTunes. Silver lining giving my opening sentence. ANDDDDDD for the lucky ducks in the UK they get to buy tickets to see Queen of the Desert on 21 April 2015. Not sure if any of the cast will attend what the Global Heritage Fund are claiming is the UK premiere, but I know I’d be buying a ticket regardless of who may or may not be there. QotD also picked up a release date for Russia. Life got a few new release dates by the look of it too. I’m still thinking that one of these films has to premiere at the Sydney Film Festival since there’s an Australian contingent in either films. Imagine if they are both there … i.m.a.g.i.n.e. Just putting it out there, but you know who will be disappointed if at least one of them isn’t in the line up. I know there was a team from SFF at Berlinale *sideeyes*  We had some further film news – Mona continues to tease us on her instagram – hmmm those costumes in the background look mighty familiar. Teasing seems to be the new game too with Brimstone releasing another storyboard pic. If you didn’t see my retweet from @BrimstoneMovie I’ve added it to our Brimstone film page. Am wondering if the second storyboard is a victim of Rob’s character? If it’s not it better NOT be Samuel *glaresatKoolhoven*. The Lost City of Z has another international distributor and is slowly creeping towards filming. I am praying that this film does not fall over … again. It feels like forever we’ve been waiting for Rob to be on that set. Speaking of waiting forever – Nick’s book 3 is on its way. *twirls* I cannot wait to see what happens to Charlie and Noor. I don’t have the draft as yet, but I’ll let you know when I do because it means we are even closer to it being released in June/July. If you haven’t read Nick Osborne’s Refuge or Resilience – DO IT. In case you’re wondering, I get no kickback from Nick if you think that’s why I’m promoting. Nick was always so lovely when Rob was filming Remember Me that I just kept in contact with him. He is a true gem and other than Rob I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather be promoting. Oh wait and David. Yeah that’ll do it – lol I just realised – a director/writer, a producer/writer and an actor/musician. Now if only I could get all three to work together …. Since this has been a movie updating kind of week I also have been updating Maps to the Stars theatrical/DVD releases and I had another look at the Berlinale reviews for Life.  I’m still searching for distributors for Rob’s upcoming films so I’m off to have another dig. Until next week …

I love hearing Rob’s directors talk about how great he is. No diva antics from Rob, and if anyone said he acted like that I’d find it pretty damn hard to believe it. The bromance between Rob and David Cronenberg continues. The fact that he’s called David’s muse … I hope that means David will make another film with Rob and those rumours that he’s no longer going to do films (David C not Rob) is just that – a rumour. Hopefully a bromance will build with Martin Koolhoven, although Rob already has one going with Guy so that may make it tough for him ha! Things are moving along too with Brimstone, although if you check out the interview Martin did with Radio 6NL he did say they don’t have all the locations in place yet. That’s okay Martin we’re happy for you to wing it and if you need something looking remote and desolute my backyard is in need of some loving care – am happy to hold it off if you need a location though. Joking aside, it’s good to see distributors coming on board – Front Row Films now have both The Childhood of a Leader and Brimstone for distribution in the UAE. I’m still working on finding out if there’s an Aussie distributor, although to be honest I’m not even remotely nervous since Aussies love a good indie film and we seem to have a load of dedicated distributors who are more than happy to purchase them. We’ve been spoilt this week with some better quality pics of older photoshoots and Berlinale haven’t we? I really was not expecting the motherload of HQ & UHQ pics from Berlin. As I mentioned in the premiere post it was most definitely a masterclass in time management. Somehow I had to fit in work and the gym in between gazing at those beauties. Speaking of gazing – have you had a chance to check out our “Films” page? Jules has worked her magic yet again. Go on go take a look, you won’t be disappointed. I’ve spent some time updating all the pages so they can be your “go to” source for information concerning each film. All posts will be linked to the home page for each film. I’m in the process of updating the reviews links, as I’ve previously mentioned, so that all reviews can be found on one page, much like what I’ve done with The Rover and more recently Maps to the Stars. I spent some time this week updating the Maps reviews. I actually quite like reading and sorting through the them and I am especially satisfied by people’s surprise that Rob really is THAT good. And as you will see I extract the relevant comments and provide the links in case you want to read the full review. Although I only add links for Lost in Translation because sometimes I can’t tell if they were just being snarky or if they really don’t like Rob. And it’s okay if they don’t – more for us. Anyway, just remember, if you want to check out the latest information for Rob’s films both current and in development – just click on the “Films” tab under our wonderful banner and then click on the relevant film. For example, if you click on Lost City of Z you will see I’ve put the link for the post “What We Know So Far”. I’m glad I had some time this week to focus on that. I love researching in case you hadn’t figured that out. By the way Dior *tick tock* where is that shoot? Michelle treated us with some lovely blast from the pasts DiorRob which I guess is a nice sequeway for me to admit that I’ve also had a go at streamlining our Dior page. See how spoilt you all are. We’ve all been busy little bees behind the scenes. And on that note, I’m going to head off because I need a lie down, but not before I gaze at that lovely scruffy Rob pic oops I mean Rob on the BD set with the lovely set designer Lindanne. What a nice way to finish the week. Until next Sunday …

If you read one post this week, it’s the analysis and review of The Rover by Meraj Dhir. I believe this is the most articulated analysis and review I have ever read of any film let alone it being about my personal favourite film of 2014. And we know I see a lot of films - The Rover is still at the top of my 2014 list. And in case you wonder about Meraj, his bio on FashCam states “[Meraj] is a PhD candidate in the History of Art and Architecture and Film Studies at Harvard University. He specializes in modern and contemporary art as well as having written extensively on European and American cinema.” Impressive. His comment about Rob’s performance “skilfully interiorized & physically nuanced performances of the year”.  Yep. And a lovely guy who tweeted with me and was genuinely appreciative. I have bookmarked FashCam and am now following Meraj on Twitter and look forward to his reviews. On a not so positive note. Boo Tim Roth. The planets just aren’t aligning with my favourite actors and Rob other than Charlie Hunnam, but hey I’ll believe that’s happening when they are into week 1 of filming *lookstotheheavens*. But in case I was still clinging onto hope even though Tim’s name was removed from IMDbPro, the cast and crew photo that surfaced most definitely dashed that. Oh well at least I’m a Game of Thrones fan so Liam is a bonus. Since we’re talking bonuses, how cool are those photos of Rob’s Trek bike. As you will no doubt glean from the interview, the bike’s new owner is a hoot and an incredibly generous and amazing person. Rob’s lucky to have her as a fan and we are fortunate to have met her thanks to her fondness of Rob, but as for her identity *zipslips*.  You all also, undoubtedly, know that Rob didn’t win Best Supporting Actor at the Canadian Screen Awards – congratulations John Cusack, you were, after all, on screen a lot longer than Rob. Hopefully Rob will get the nod this Tuesday at the Australian Film Critics Circle Association Awards *givesevileyetowaterdiviner*. In case you think I’ve been quiet on the site, I’ve been busy updating release dates for Maps to the Stars, checking box office and also tidying up and updating some of RPAU’s pages. I’m taking advantage of this quieter week because I can almost feel Dior gearing up to slay us with their new shoot or whatever it is they’re planning to unleash. If you click on the Music tab, you will see that I’ve added videos and articles of Rob’s actual music whether it be from movie soundtracks or impromptu appearances at SoFaR.  I have also rewritten Rob’s bio page “Robert” to include career biography, philanthropy and awards|nominations. I also tidied up the “Books” section sorting through the reading lists for books adapted into Rob’s film and also books actually read by Rob (which back before iPads we actually saw Rob carrying or he has spoken about in interviews). You will see I’ve renamed it The Robert Pattinson Bibliotheque and there are links to all books if you want to read a synopsis. Yeah, it’s been busy behind the scenes! So that’s it from me for now. Fingers crossed we hear some good news on Tuesday night re Rob’s nomination, but until next week ….

HOLY FREAKIN’ MOLY. Give a woman some warning will you. I’m sure I’m not alone here when I say I’m still trying to compose myself after Mark Seliger/Vanity Fair unleashed their portrait of Rob. WOW. Saying that this week has been full of surprises is an understatement. Being a Rob fan is pretty damn spectacular at the best of times, but when Rob just turns up to events under the radar I just want to hug him and everyone. That smile of Rob’s at the Brit Awards – the wattage from it alone could be used as solar power. I know a lot of us feel this way, seeing Rob smile like that never fails to bring a smile to our faces. I’m sure Rob’s now ticked “attend Brit Awards” off his bucket list.  Unless of course the bucket list has a notation next to it saying “win award at the Brit Awards for original music”. Dream big Rob I know it works for me.  As for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, I had a hunch that we would see him at an after party with Tom and Sienna. Given that Sienna costarred in the Oscar nominated films Foxcatcher & American Sniper, there was no way she wasn’t going to be at the Oscars. Sometimes I’m so in tune with Rob it’s not funny. As Cindy said “My Rob senses were tingling”. And how lethal did Rob look that night. *sigh* Lethal of course also being an understatement now that we’ve seen that portrait.  Yep.  How Jules remained focused doing ANY edits of Rob looking like that I have no idea. I have to say though, I’m not sure why some tabloids were calling Rob the third wheel – if anyone was a third wheel it was Sienna *TomStu lives*.  And seeing as my Rob senses were tingling it should come as no surprise then that I obviously had Rob and Sienna on the brain because earlier that day I posted that Lost City of Z has a US distributor which some of you didn’t know, so I’m glad I decided to update you on that. It shouldn’t surprise us that it’s Paramount Pictures since they are also producing the film alongside Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment. Thank you Mr Pitt. And yes Aussies, Studio Canal most definitely will distribute this film in Australia.  I’ve already had confirmation of that from them last year.  And because we brought up Lost City of Z we got that pic of Rob and Benedict.  Ha!  It’s not as good as my pic with Benedict lol.  The Childhood of A Leader looks like it’s finishing filming this week because Mona posted a pic to her instagram saying “last week”.  Or did she mean that that pic was from last week – cryptic Mona very very cryptic.  And we still don’t know for sure about Tim Roth. [Update: TCoaL filming is in fact done – instagram] Danielle Levitt posted a gorgeous pic of Rob that is now one of my all time favourite pics of him, of course, I’ve added that VF portrait to that list. What?  I can’t help mentioning it every opportunity it’s FREAKIN GLORIOUS.  I wonder though how many other wonderful photos Danielle has up her sleeve waiting to slay us with.  I really love Rob’s playfulness, it’s one of his endearing qualities.  Maps to the Stars was unleashed in Brazil, Belgrade and the US. Thanks to the ladies at Rob’s IMDb Board I could include cinema details for the US. That’s a lot of work for those that have never undertaken putting a list like that together.  I also updated the reviews which unsurprisingly (or surprisingly given the minute role Rob has) give him loads more thumbs up than down (I now have an image of Joaquin Phoenix from Gladiator in my head, but clearly under utilised in my post much like Rob in Maps).  On the Brimstone front, Martin Koolhoven tweeted that he was in LA next week doing screen tests for the movie.  Well I guess we will have to wait and see if Rob pops up anywhere unexpectedly next week or whether Dior will slowly drip feed us some photos … either way we’re ready. PS. I’m posting this remotely since I’m currently watching Manson perform at Soundwave. Not sure why I feel the need to run up to him and pour buckets of freezing ice filled water all over him *giggles*.

Rob’s back in LA and people suspected he was going to the Oscars, but it was even better than that because as you saw, Rob’s been spotted filming on the streets of LA. As the pics continued it was looking more and more like it was for Dior. And on day 1 of those pics @OhWell101 sussed that the Creative Director for Dior and photographer/director Peter Lindbergh seemed to be working in downtown LA. Things started to get exciting that we were in fact getting Diorv2. And as it turns out we did get a pic of Rob with Peter Lindbergh. (Note to self – I need me one of those lenses).  Wonder if Rob discussed cameras with Lindbergh. Can’t wait for this to be unleashed officially and as Jules said “imagine when these are in HQ”. Rob always giving us somethin’ somethin’.  Much like David Cronenberg with that new red band trailer for the US release of Maps *fansself*. I think I should have put a “NSFW” warning on that post. Since we’re on movie news, sadly it looks like Tim Roth may be out of The Childhood of A Leader.  Jules is beginning to think doing those banners for movies whilst filming is putting the kibosh on things. I don’t think I agree with her – shocking I know. Anyway I’m still hoping that because he’s filming The Hateful Eight at the moment he’s just juggling his workload. Tim Roth is one of my fave underated actors so I really want to see him work with Rob. I love how we are still basking in the afterglow of Berlinale. How gorgeous was that black and white portrait and if that wasn’t enough we eventually received the colour version. Beautiful man. I also came across some videos from the press conference that are up close and different angles to what we’ve seen before so I had to share. And of course there’s still a few more interviews that are coming through. You’ll notice I went through and updated the distributors for Queen of the Desert, Life and Brimstone. Hoping Brimstone was sold to an Aussie distributor, am putting the feelers out there, not that I’m nervous we won’t get it. I’ve been slowly updating our “Films” page as well (if you wonder why I’m a little more silent if that’s possible) so if you want information such as release dates, distributors etc, you can always click on the relevant movie poster and it will take you to more info. And since I was in an updating mood, the reviews for both QotD and Life got another look over. During which I came across a fantastic review by FourThreeFilms (4:3) and tweeted with Jess Ellicott who wrote it. I asked her if she got to review Life but she didn’t get to see saying that the queue for the press screening was insane. And since we’re talking Aussies, hope you have had a chance to watch Alicia Malone’s AMCi indie review. Lovely words about Rob. Alicia has always been great to us whenever we’ve asked her to get a pic of Rob when she’s at his events. Whenever she can accommodate she does. And I’m not quite finished talking about lovely people – Jules those Berlin edits – holy mother of God. How do I love thee – let me count the ways and I’m not just talking about Rob’s whiskers (although I think Carmel’s got that under control). I just need to get back on my soapbox for just one minute though. How does the official twitter account for one of Rob’s films not have 10,000 followers? I look around the fan accounts including ours and well there’s a LOT of Rob fans using social media. Just one click of the follow button to show support is all it takes. You’ve all seen the director, Martin Koolhoven’s response on Veronica Mag’s video to how many Rob fans are now @ing his twitter account, and ironically our tweets about the official account show up in that vid. It just amazes me that we show support to other fans but not the official account. Anyway, stepping off for now. I’ll end on a high note, that pic Willian Rutten shared – he’s captured the essence of the man. Amazing photo and lovely comments about Rob too. May the hotness continue next week … can’t wait to see what it brings.
