Dior Dior it’s a helluva town – oh wait it’s New York – that works too (even if we do know those pics were shot in LA).  DIOR: I thought I would put together a roundup of initial reactions for Intense City and yeah we all agree that it’s one hot advertisement. The video is now “officially” on Dior’s YouTube so go and show them some love. Dior has also officially unleashed Rob’s Dior Homme Intense campaign and aren’t we spoilt for choice as to which new pic is our fave. That polo neck (or as the US like to call them ‘turtleneck”) sweater is edging it’s way to be mine from the BTS pics. I swear how is it that Rob says he wasn’t a very good model, sometimes I forget that he’s actually a film star and not a professional model. We were also spoilt with a couple of photoshoot pics from the 2013 campaign. So dreamy and hot.  And we now have the promo poster in HQ. Thanks Dior. Plus a slightly different version thanks to Peter Lindbergh’s site. Now, let’s get into what’s happening in the world of Rob films. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: Brady Corbet is in the running for yet another award at the Göteborg Film Festival and we also find out who the Swedish distributor is – TriArt Films. Sweden is also releasing the film on Rob’s birthday – 13 May 2016. Still keeping my fingers crossed Australia gets it at either Sydney or Melbourne Film Festival. LIFE: Kiwis can now preorder their DVD|Bluray for release next week. As part of the Télérama Film Festival, Mornant will have 2 screenings of the film. Actually, Life will have quite a few screenings across France and I’ve posted ones that I’ve found. I updated my list of US cinemas currently screening in January plus added links to buy tickets. I also listed an Italian cinema screening the film next week. The Netherlands looks like it’s brought forward the DVD release date but is no longer releasing the film on bluray. Boo. LOST CITY OF Z: Included in yet another anticipated list. I’m so excited for this film. Indiewire also did another list of films that need be released this year that I tweeted, that mentions “The Lost City of Z” should find its way to festivals this year. Given its adventure-driven plot, Gray could have some crossover potential here like never before.” Excites. I also tweeted an article from The Tracking Board that mentions Lost City of Z is slated for release this year. QUEEN OF THE DESERT:  @QueenDesert2016 responded to a query of when the film is being released in the US with a March date estimate, guess we will just have to continue to be patient. GOOD TIME: Looks like filming has been pushed back to February – March, thought the early Jan date was a little strange – well for us here in Oz since nobody does any work really until this week. THE TRAP: MadRiver Pictures has come on board to co-produce Harmony’s film *skipsoffindelight* HIGH LIFE: I really love seeing Rob’s films listed in anticipated lists and equally seeing praise given to the directors he chooses. He’s building a great resume isn’t he. IN OTHER NEWS: Well here we are in week 2 of 2016 and it’s a beauty.  We have our first choice for 12 Months of Rob selected and Michelle has certainly made February as difficult as possible.  Remember Me is screening on television in Hungary. I need to revisit that film as I haven’t watched for some time.  And coincidentally we have some MQ pics from the photoshoot back in 2009.  There’s more I know there’s more. We were also spoilt with some black and white pics from Cannes during the Cosmopolis promo. Thanks Posh. Now I wonder what we will be spoilt with next week.  Until then …

Well here we are in Week 1 of 2016 and bloody hell what a fabulous start to the year. DIOR: Dior v2. Do I really need to say more?  Well I will. I knew it was coming this year, but I was not expecting it so early. You know how I feel about Daily Mail, but when I clicked on that alert link and saw those photos I almost stopped breathing. Cindy thanks again for your message too we must have received that alert at the exact same time. I’m still on cloud 9. Those photos are just out of this world. I will not survive them in HQ, but I’ll give it a go. Can’t wait for it to be unleashed further. Now that everyone is heading back to work I’ll try and find out some more information. I want to see that commercial on our TV. But I also want to see it in stores. I have an image of some sneaking in and stealing any of those display photos if and when they go up. Oh oh I hope they do another bus stop campaign although I feel the incident rate on our roads may spike. LIFE:  Paris gets another bite of the cherry with a screening on 20 January 2016. Belgium gets to diarise their VOD release for March and preorder their DVD for February release, as does Greece, Norway (with Finnish, Swedish and Danish subtitles) and Denmark. Italy is supposedly getting the DVD for rent in a few weeks whilst the US is finally getting their DVD in March.  QUEEN OF THE DESERT: I came across a Turkish article that mentions the US release date of March, but there doesn’t seem to be a date yet set for Turkey.  It also looks like the Middle East will be screening the film this month. The Playlist also mentioned the March release date for the US in their 30 Anticipated films they’ve already seen. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: Protagonist Pics has added a new still to their website.  The Playlist included it in their list of 30 Movies they are anticipating that we’ve already seen, as did The Filmstage, but they also mention how the US is still searching for a distributor. They’re not alone! GOOD TIME: Wednesday saw Josh_Benny confirm that it would be starting “soon!!!” I tweeted SSNInsider’s mention that Good Time should be commencing on set 8 January 2016, so we sit patiently and wait for filming to actually commence. I’m loving The Playlist’s Most Anticipated Films for 2016 LOST CITY OF Z: is No. 9, (also no. 3 on Ioncinema and no. 26 for the Cinemaholic) HIGH LIFE:  is No. 13 THE TRAP:  Rated a Special mention although I’m ignoring their comments about Benecio. I’m focusing on their comment that it would have been no. 5 on their list. IN OTHER NEWS: I loved the comments made about Rob in the GQ UK article.  Not just about his style but about him being considered a serious actor and Britain’s most bankable star. That last comment took me by surprise when you consider other Brits like Eddie Redmayne and Benedict Cumberbatch. But who am I to argue … Caitlin Cronenberg spoilt us by posting a BTS photo of Rob on the Cosmopolis set. One must ask whether we shall see more because you know there has to be – I don’t mind slow burn Caitlin really I don’t. For those who purchased the signed Queen of the Desert poster, Cassian Elwes tweeted that he’s still working on coordinating them for you. Well hope all that are coming to the end of their holidays and are back at work tomorrow have enjoyed their time off. Fingers crossed the return to the work week kicks off with a bang and we either see HQ DiorIntenseRob or new photoshoot pics. Hey even another version or behind the scenes commercial would satisfy my curiosity. Just putting it out there. Until next week …

Well here we are in 2016. It was a pretty quiet lead up to it, but that’s no surprise so I don’t really have a lot to say. Haha joking of course. Hope everyone had a safe and happy start to the new year. We have a lot to look forward to in 2016 – Rob filming Good Time, High Life and the Trap. We will see him in cinemas in Queen of the Desert, The Childhood of a Leader and hopefully Lost City of Z. Of course there’s also Life still being released.  Anticipating some new project announcements and Dior v2.  After all, the 3 year contract is coming to an end so tick tock. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: @QueenDesert2016 tweeted that this was the year of #QueenoftheDesert – I bloody hope so, it’s been a long time coming. LIFE: Aussies can now rent from Hoyts Kiosk. Montreal is screening the film this week and Indonesia is gearing up for their release date on 6 Jan. Finally.  THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  People are including this film in their lists for movies that weren’t released in 2015, they saw and loved at film festivals or movies to look out for in 2016.  One of my favourite comments was “”Corbet’s work is confirmed as one of the most unsettling overflowing debuts of the year.” Studio L’Equipe and Lightbrigade Films showed us their excitement for the screening at Rotterdam FF.  LOST CITY OF Z: Is also being included in Most Anticipated films in 2016 as you can see from The Guardian. I also tweeted that @cahierscinema included LCoZ in their list too. THE TRAP: I came across an interesting article about Brett Ratner where he mentions he’s involved with Harmony Korine’s next film and that Harmony wrote the script at Brett’s house in Miami. That’s the first I’ve heard that RatPac might be involved with financing or producing “The Trap” and it seems odd that it would be another project of Harmony’s considering he talked about Miami. Interesting. Especially since the “Pac” part of RatPac is our very own Aussie James Packer. Aussies do love Rob. HIGH LIFE: No real news other than Screen Daily listed their top 10 articles for 2015 and Claire Denis’s sci-fi thriller was listed as no. 7. THE ROVER: I guess my Movie Monday with Rey subconsciously knew something. Love that this film is still being screened around the world. It really is a shame it didn’t get more recognition. David and Rob deserved it. Yes I know I’m preaching to the choir. IN OTHER NEWS: I need to thank Jules for all the incredible banners, gifs and edits she has done for us to help celebrate New Years. I still remember the day Suze introduced us to Jules – and I can’t thank either of them enough. I also noticed that Toby Sells is the makeup/special effects person on Good Time. I’m so curious about what he will be doing on that film given his list of credits. The Safdie like to keep up guessing – especially since filming is “alleged” to be starting in just a few days.  Looking forward to seeing what the first week of 2016 brings us … until then.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas | Holiday. Let’s get right into it as we slide towards the end of what I think was a pretty great year Rob wise. LIFE:  Looks like France is going to have to wait an extra month to enjoy their bluray|dvds. Unlike Canada who is getting their DVD on 12 January 2016. I’ve also updated US & Canada screenings and added new cinemas for January 2016. The DVD release for Canada probably explains why there’s not too many cinemas planning on showing it in the New Year. Caitlin Cronenberg gave us a little Christmas cheer by posting a new still of Rob. She’s always so good to us.  Cineville Amsterdam is also screening the film on 28 and 30 December 2015. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: I love that Germany has been holding screenings of this film since September, talk about supporting your local talent. Some other countries should take a leaf out of this. The official US Facebook posted a new still of Rob as T E Lawrence. You know it must be Christmas since we are well and truly being spoilt. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: We mentioned last week that it was included as part of the International Film Festival Rotterdam and now we have confirmation that it will be the closing film. That’s bloody marvelous and also an incredible experience with the live orchestra. GOOD TIME: Josh Safdie and Buddy Duress were interviewed by Chillin Island mainly to talk about Heaven Knows What and Buddy’s incarceration at Riker’s. I was hoping Buddy would be in Good Time, but it doesn’t seem so. Josh however did talk ever so briefly about when they will be filming. RPAU 12 Days of Christmas: How great was Michelle’s 10 minutes of unadulterated bliss  of fave moments of Rob – wonderful stuff. How spoilt are we too with Jules’ incredibly gorgeous calendar. Can’t thank her enough for the time and effort she puts into that for us. Hope it doesn’t end up on eBay like last year though. We have our spies out. Congratulations also to our DVD winners. It was tough only being able to select 3, I wish I could have given all of you a DVD.  IN OTHER NEWS: I noticed on Monday that Cinando listed Artificial Intelligence as a distributor for the US with regard to The Trap. Focus Features has always been associated with distributing the film, so I’m wondering if they are working alongside Focus in getting overseas distribution. Hopefully more news comes to light.  Maps to the Stars was no 18 in GQ Spain’s 20 Best Films of 2015 – smart peeps. Aussies if you missed Twilight tonight on ABC2 don’t worry it’s on again tomorrow around 11.20 pm (from memory).  As 2015 draws to a close, I’m curious to see how we round off the year *whisperssomephotoshootouttakeswouldbenice*. Until then …

I love Xmas at RPAU as it gives us an opportunity to thank all who have supported not just us but more importantly Rob over the past 12 months. Haven’t we had a ride this year. Rob popping up in the most unexpected places. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: 2016 looks like it’s going to be the year of release for this film given how many changes there have been over the past 8 months. Iraq is now in line with Lebanon on its 21 January release. Not holding my breath though. Israel will also be seeing the film in February. Love that we were spoilt with that variation of the T E Lawrence still. Keep them coming I say. Austria is also getting their DVD/Blurays on the same day as Germany. Funny how the majority of us are still waiting to even see this film. So bizarre. Switzerland is also releasing the German version of the Bluray|DVD. LIFE: Japan doing another stellar job of spoiling Rob fans.  What about those new stills/bts. I hope the film actually makes the cut for the nominations of art directors guild awards. It truly is a beautiful film. Looks like Sweden is getting Life straight DVD with its release on 8 February 2016. Shame it didn’t get a theatrical release.  And the UK finally has a release date for their Bluray|DVD.  Speaking of release dates for Bluray|DVD Switzerland is also releasing the film. RPAU 12 Days of Christmas: I hope everyone is enjoying the treats and the fantastic gifs Jules has put together for our celebrations. We were so grateful that Transmission gave us 3 DVDs to giveaway, I just wish I had a copy for everyone that has entered. Don’t forget you have until 11.59 pm AEST to do so. Good luck. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: I’m so excited that Sweden is getting a screening of this film in February, mainly because it could be the start of a slow unfurling of it around the world. *prettypleaseSFFprettyplease* And I made the previous comment before I knew that there would also be a special screening at the Rotterdam FF. This movie is going to be slow burn. You watch. IN OTHER NEWS: I love that we are still being spoilt with HQ treats from The Rover promo. Love them. Thanks Posh for the beauties you bring. Also, I tweeted an article where Anton Corbijn mentions about how disappointed he was about the multi platform release of Life. It’s an interesting insight into how directors don’t always have control over how their movie is distributed or promoted. Shame really seeing as it’s their vision. I did like that he said “I’m happy the film exists, I’m happy it got made, I’m happy I have enough say in how the film looks”. Anton did work hard in promoting this film almost completely on his own.  So this time next week we will all have celebrated the holidays. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful time … let’s see what the upcoming week surprises us with.  Until then.

Loving that we started the week with some news about one of Rob’s upcoming projects especially news that shows there’s financial support and people clearly having faith in it. But let’s see what else has unfolded this week. LIFE: Rob was featured in Parade Magazine’s “Personality” section which I thought I’d tweet about, much like the Critics Roundup’s roundup of reviews for Life. They gave Life a rating of 75 which means it had mostly positive reviews. This, and comments like “It really is the work of Pattinson, and even more so DeHaan, that makes “Life” a success” made me update our own review roundup and I have to agree that the pros far outweigh the cons.  I tweeted a link to Concrete Playground’s 10 Best Films You Never Saw in 2015 – yeah Life is included. I’m not surprised people didn’t see it seeing as it was gone in a flash. And I’ve noticed that’s the norm not just for Rob’s films. I wanted to see a couple of films this past month and they were gone from the cinema before I even had a chance to choose session times. The Huffington Post had an interesting interview with Dane didn’t they. I don’t know if I really fit into the category of wanting to make out or jump Rob to be honest – do I find him sexy?  Obviously, but I’ve been one of the fortunate that have been in Rob’s presence a few times and I just wanted to talk to him. I find him fascinating. Shaw (Singapore) have now uploaded their official trailer for Life which I tweeted about, but I’ve also added to the Film page. It’s also stating 31 December as the release date which we posted about last week. HIGH LIFE:  That was an interesting bit of information about The Tinderstick’s doing the soundtrack for this film that was included in ARTE France’s coproduction news. They apparently work on Claire Denis’ soundtracks often. Alcatraz Films also tweeted how excited they were about ARTE coming to the party – as are we. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: Germany has pushed back it’s DVD|Bluray|VOD release by 6 days. Austria on the other hand has a couple more screenings as part of Sunday matinees at Salzburger Filmkulturzentrum Cinema. Also, we posted about a US screening back in November and now the theatre has confirmed it. Werner talks about why he selected Rob for the role of TE Lawrence in an interview I posted. I love having a little insight into why he did so. THE TRAP: Japan I hope you put together a website like you do for most of Rob’s films that you distribute. Is it bad that that is one of the first things I thought about when I was posting that Parco is the Japanese distributor?  THINGS I TWEETED:  Vue listed Rob “14. Robert Pattinson – Life” Best of 2015: Performances Of The Year” that was a lovely bit of recognition wasn’t it. The London Short Film Festival are having a day with Harmony Korine on MUBI on 16 January 2016 for those wanting to familiarise themselves with Harmony’s work. Did you see the tweet I did about the “then and now” Harry Potter comparison? If not, I’ve included it in the collage below. What a man.  I tweeted that I had a dream that Rob had picked up a new role and there’s been a few comments out there about possibilities thanks to Pattinson Place and Suze for letting me know about that. So I’ll end on that note. Have a few surprises in store for you next week, so until then …
