Aw Rey how I love you – Jules you know how to make us all happy. Let’s get to it shall we. LOST CITY OF Z: After the “epic” trailer leak on last Sunday night I thought I’d wait until Monday morning to see what most had to say and the word “beautiful” and “epic” seems to be the words of the day. It also appears to be the most anticipated film. Happy days. Of course the trailer has been removed, multiple times, so I’m happy I was around to see it. It was so so worth it. Amazing film. Can’t wait. Spain and Bulgaria at least know that the film is coming. And Brazil’s October release date that we posted about back in March is now on IMDb, although we know that can change at the drop of a hat. Oh and how could I forget – Australia is getting a “WIDE” release, I couldn’t believe that information has been around since November last year and I somehow missed it. “WIDE RELEASE” music to how many people’s ears here in Oz. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: We have already seen the extended “Gertie Will You Please Not Marry Me” but we didn’t have an official YouTube version. Thought I’d rectify that. Peter Zeitlinger, the cinematographer, also uploaded a new version of the trailer to his Vimeo account. Lovely. Macedonia has joined the release queue, as has Croatia and Slovenia. I tweeted a link to cinemas in Krakow screening the film and also Cinema City. Chantier Films tweeted the Turkish subtitled trailer and China should be unleashing soon, you would think, now that they have a distributor. DIOR: Who cares about Winter –  Autumn is coming … but seriously Dior throw a dog a bone. LIFE:  Spain is eventually getting Life on DVD, and I say eventually because the date has changed so far from 8 April to 27 April and now 1 May. Let’s hope this date sticks. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  Closing the Cinepolitica International Film Festival in Romania and premiering in Austria at Crossing Europe Film Festival. C’mon Sydney – make it either opening or closing film – it ain’t rocket science. 11 May seems soooo far away I hope I’m not going to be disappointed. *why can I heard Edward in my head* HIGH LIFE:  Albania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary are getting behind the film. C’mon Australia – this seems to be a recurrent comment this week. IN OTHER NEWS:  HQ goodness via Posh for The Summer House – helloooo Richard. Thank you Posh. We’re supporting Rob’s Birthday Project and the GO Campaign this year in helping to raise money in honour of Rob’s 30th birthday. More info coming soon so stay tuned. The GO Campaign is a great cause. I was impressed to have received a handwritten thank you from them for my last donation in Rob’s name. Great organisation. No surprise why Rob is their Ambassador really. I tweeted a link to a podcast for Bruce Wagner, for those interested, who may be keen to hear what he has to say about Hollywood and his latest book. I came across this great tribute video for David Cronenberg. Of course Rob is featured. You forget what a stellar lineup of actors have been involved with DC’s films over the years and then you are reminded just how monumental Rob being chosen by Cronenberg is. Carmel I knew you would love that clip.  We can thank Michelle for keeping on top of how FOXTEL spoils us with Rob films. Speaking of which I think I’m off to watch one of Rob’s films. It’s been too long. Can’t wait to see what we are spoilt with next week. Until then …

Release dates, teaser clips and HQs|UHQs is what we were blessed with this week. And I’m going to add this disclaimer here – if there’s typos in this roundup it’s because I can’t think straight now that I’ve met Henry Costin. LOST CITY OF Z: Well what an amazing way to end off the week.  Cannot thank @Robstraydog enough for finding that clip.  Also Cindy for sending me a DM and @deesoonz for tweeting me which I missed because I saw the DM notification. Thank you thank you thank you. What a spectacular trailer and the worst thing is – how long we might have to wait to see the final product. End of this year or early next year for Aussies according to my last contact with Studio Canal Australia. I always wondered if they were releasing around award season and after seeing that trailer I’m leaning towards they probably are.  Thanks to Jules for doing screencaps whilst I was making those gifs. DIOR:  When you wake up on 1 April and Rob’s Dior Homme campaign is in The New York Journal and you know it ain’t no April Fool’s joke. Meanwhile did Dior punk us with the 1 April Autumn campaign release date? Looks like my tweet of me waiting for them to unleash won’t be too far from the truth. QUEEN OF THE DESERT:  Finally, loads of news for this film this week.  Looks like Italy is getting a theatrical release of the film after all, but that won’t be until September 2016, but if you were in Rome this week there was a special screenings on 31 March. Sookie Pictures finally unleashed the “Gertie Will You Please Not Marry Me” teaser and also the sitting around the campfire clip. How could I not make a few gifs. I do love Rob’s performance as TE Lawrence – haters be damned. Egypt has also released the film on 31 March 2016 in line with the Middle East releases we mentioned last week. The following countries have also joined in the release queue – Ethiopia, South Africa & Albania in April, Turkey in May and although we’ve known for a few weeks that Australia will be seeing the film in June, I did love seeing it on the coming soon sections of Event cinemas, hence why I thought I’d put together a post which I will update with Australian cinemas screening the film. Greece’s distributors did tell me that they are also planning to release in July – I think that’s an exclusive! We posted an untagged version of the promo pic that’s currently being used, thanks to Italia Film Middle East and UHQ of those two behind the scenes shots featuring Rob. I’ve also tweeted screening schedules for UAE  here and here and Cairo, Qatar, Lebanon and Bahrain. If anyone sees it listed at their local cinema, give me us a shout out so we can add. I also tweeted a link to a Polish cinema screening times – tickets won’t be available to purchase until 5 April though. CinemaCity Syria confirmed to me too this week that the distributor has changed the date a few times hence why they removed from their website, but are waiting for a final confirmation release date. So stay tuned. Also the international movie review post was updated. I loved how Gulf News mentioned the laughing of Rob’s TE Lawrence in Berlin and then defended Rob by saying they thought Rob “carried off this (minor) role well enough”. High praise from the Middle East.  No offence Berlin, but I think I’d rather take their opinion of how TE Lawrence felt in traditional headdress than your giggles. LIFE: Forbes Russia reviewed the film and said this about Rob “”Photographer played by Robert Pattinson – a good versatile actor”. Versatile. Yes he is indeed. Argentina has a release date – excites, even if it is September. I tweeted a link to screenings in Moscow for the next week. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: Russia is getting in on the act with release dates and is proposing to unleash this film in September.  I had confirmation from the distributor, Volga, that they definitely have plans to release it in their autumn so the September date is definite … for now.  GOOD TIME: There seems to have been a slight shuffle of cast members. HIGH LIFE:  Looks like Serbia has a distributor. Lucky ducks.  IN OTHER NEWS: I tweeted a link to an Werner Herzog article on creativity, self-reliance, and making a living out of what you love.  Another week where Posh spoils us with HQ|UHQ pics – this time from the LA Press Conference for Water for Elephants. I never tire of seeing new photos from previous events.  Never. . And saying that, Ian Beck shared a new BTS photo of Rob from the Normandy set for The Summer House. Lovely. So I’ll end off tonight with the hope that Dior spoil us next week but yo know what – I’m not too fussed because I’ll be somewhere watching the LCOZ trailer every opportunity I get. Until then …

Hope all celebrating Easter are having a wonderful time with family and/or friends.  Let me start off by thanking Jules for making us a fabulous Easter edit, but I have to say I think Jules’s “week in review edit” is my absolute fave *fansself*.  Also thanking Posh for giving us that HQ this week. Now, let’s see what has been happening in the Rob world this week. GOOD TIME: IMDbPro added another cast member and I noticed that Rob has a stunt double, Peter Wallack. I really like how in the dark we have been kept for this film. Although Josh Safdie did post an interesting little photo on his instagram the other day. Is that’s some of effects makeup that Toby Sells has done for the film? Time will tell since I believe they wrapped the film early last week. I’m not going to debate whether it is or isn’t Rob in that photo. I’m more intrigued about the effects makeup. Funnily enough, IMDb finally updated Good Time’s status on Friday to “filming”. The Safdies are hilarious. QUEEN OF THE DESERT:  Mexico is screening 3 session on 27 March 2016 and thanks to the pending release of the film in Poland we posted a new scene with Rob. How great was that little gem of a clip with T E Lawrence and Gertie.  Yeah I need to see this film again.  Can’t wait until 2 June. I know where I will be. Sookie Pics also uploaded a Korean subtitled trailer. Don’t forget the film is releasing across the Middle East on 31 March if you missed that post last week. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: I came across a great review that I somehow missed during Venice “Robert Pattinson’s cameo doesn’t hit a wrong note, in a double role that, in the finale, creates one of the most interesting moments of the movieâ€.  What a tease!  I also noticed that the Phi Centre has a 25 June date for the film, but I contacted them and they confirmed that they don’t have any future screenings of the film. Interesting, but I’ll keep an eye on it nevertheless. Don’t forget you can still purchase tickets to the Vilinius Film Festival for the 4 screenings in April.  The Istanbul Film Festival also posted a trailer (no Rob though) to their YouTube yesterday. I can’t wait to see this film. LIFE: How cool is that untagged and HQ still of just Rob as Dennis Stock. Russia released the film yesterday and I’ve updated the Review Roundup with gem comments like this “Robert Pattinson, who once again, after two films , David Cronenberg , proving its ability to be sensitive and versatile artist.”  I also posted an update of cinemas in Japan still screening the film in April and May. HIGH LIFE: Claire Denis you are in for such a treat working with Rob. I’m so impressed that Claire had no hesitation after meeting Rob to cast him in a role written for Philip Seymour Hoffman. That’s an incredible compliment to Rob and as a fan I’m so chuffed that Claire sees what we’ve been seeing for years. IN OTHER NEWS:  Rolling Stone Magazine had some great words to say about Robert in their article on Hollywood and YA films. I just couldn’t pass up sharing them.  Speaking of sharing – how great were those HQ Theo Wenner pics *sigh* I just love them and Posh.  Great pick up by Michelle too with that Bruce Weber VF pic – now if only they would update the rest of them. Greedy I know.  For those in Sydney during April, the MCA is screening a Safdie Bros film each Saturday at 2.00 pm.  If you haven’t had a chance to see Heaven Knows What you should head along to the Veolia Lecture Theatre and check it out and did I mention that all the screenings are “free”. I also am happy that some of you hadn’t seen Rob’s “Best Story Ever Told” that he did for Strombo back in 2008.  That’s why we love doing Throwback and Memory Lane’s because there’s a lot of Rob around and it’s impossible to see or remember everything in the past 10 or so years. I think that wraps up this week. Remember, we have Dior Homme Autumn Fashion campaign to look forward to next week – it’s unleashed on 1 April 2016.  Can’t wait.  Until then …

Well that new Dior Homme Autumn Collection pic just before going to bed on Sunday was a great end to last week.  Waking up to slightly larger Uncle Karl pics is an even better way to start.  So let’s get to it because there’s lots of film news this week.  DIOR: Thank you Dior and Karl Lagerfeld.  Thank you.  THE ROVER:  And whilst I’m thanking people, thank you Posh.  Although I just don’t think those words are enough to express our gratitude.  I love that we are still getting surprised with photos of Rob during promo of this film. Germany will also screen The Rover on their Sky Action channel.  I laughed when I saw Carmel’s comment on this post and yes Carmel more screenings than the Aussie theatrical release – agree. GOOD TIME: Love it when we see how the cast is coming together thanks to IMDb (even though I know IMDb is not gospel). QUEEN OF THE DESERT: Looks like Cambodia is getting a full on release of the film on 6 May 2016 or at least exclusive screenings at Platinum Cinemas.  I also came across a new still of TE Lawrence with Gertrude Bell. Thanks to Sookie Pictures we have another still of TE Lawrence and yes it might be Rob from behind and you might have to zoom in but as soon as I saw those long legs in those boots I knew it was Rob. The trailer is being promoted in the US – that can only mean one thing. I love that they are actually using the official trailer from Transmission which they too uploaded to their YouTube on Monday.  It was a great precursor to us finding out the June Aussie release date – still twirling.  New Zealand I’ll keep you up to date as to when the release will happen for you. Scandinavia will be able to watch it whenever they want to soon as it will be available on SFFilmAnytime. I know Finland, Sweden and Norway will be getting their DVDs in April, which prompted me to look for Denmark and I found I missed the DVD release on 10 March 2016. LIFE: I updated the Spanish DVD release date thanks to Nani from PattinsonWorld.  Life Der Film’s Facebook shared a little extract from Rob’s interview from The Making of Life and Sweden can currently watch the film online on Plejmo. Brazil is finally getting a theatrical release in July *twirls*. Russia is also in full promo mode for their release later next week. HIGH LIFE: Mia Goth gave us a little look into what her character will be in the film and when I say little I mean a glimpse! THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: Is competing for The Golden Tulip at the 35th Istanbul Film Festival.  Woot woot. I love that they used Jules’ edit on their website. LOST CITY OF Z:  Variety confirmed what we already knew about Studio Canal distributing the film, but it’s nice to see it in writing other than via us. They also mentioned that it may not be ready for Cannes, but I’m just going to sit over here and wait and see because I’ve heard information like that before and it turned out not to be true. Oh and although initially Variety stated Paramount were distributing it looks like they have removed that comment from their article. So I guess it ain’t true. IN OTHER NEWS:  I came across two screenings of Cosmopolis, one that was last Wednesday in Heidleberg (Germany) and the other on Monday in French speaking Switzerland. I wish I could see that film on the big screen one more time.  It wouldn’t be a great week without Posh spoiling us as with better quality or HQ|UHQ photos would it. Throw in some 2014 Cannes, Artist on Artist and wowza The Rover portraits and we’re all happy.  Really happy – cannot thank Posh enough ever for the goodness she brings to Rob’s fandom. Can’t wait to see what Rob has in store for us next week. Until then …

Another fabulous week in our Rob world. DIOR: Holy mama – that is all – other than I love you Uncle Karl. Jean-Baptiste Mondino has finally added 2 of his Rob photos to his own website too after he posted a link to Iconoclast on his Facebook, which I included in the photo post. LIFE: So happy to finally see Hong Kong releasing this film and spoiling us with a new still with Rob, Dane and Anton. Taiwan continues to promote the film ahead of its release on 11 March including posting a list of cinemas and screening times. That’s so thoughtful. I tweeted an article from Buro24 (Mongolia) that included LIFE as “this Spring’s important films”. Spain you can currently rent the film on iTunes and it looks like the DVD|Bluray will be released on 27 April 2016. I’ve posted preorder links and if the date changes I’ll of course update. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: Atlas Distribution responded to our “nagging” tweet. We should get US news soon. Poland decides to bring forward its release date and Serbian distributor, Dexin, has been posting some great promo pics with Rob on their Facebook given that it was released in cinemas on 10 March 2016. It also released in Montenegro on that date as well.  You know who else is on board with releasing the film in April – South Korea. Can’t wait to see what little promo gems they unleash. Jordan and Lebanon have moved their release dates to April. Wish I could say I’m surprised! HIGH LIFE:  Pandora Films now has a page for the film “In Development”. For those also interested in Claire Denis, Fireflies issue is available for preorder.  What’s “Fireflies” you ask – well it’s an independent magazine and their description for their next issue is “Issue #3 explores the worlds of Claire Denis and Jia Zhangke – 160 pages of creative essays, visual art, poetry, fiction and interviews in one beautifully designed magazine.” Sounds really interesting. I think you get a discount if you preorder too. GOOD TIME: The Safdie Bros like to play their cards close to their chests don’t they. I’m not complaining it’s just an observation.  I’ve posted a Production Weekly update, which says production starts on 10 March.  I’m guessing from the tweet I woke up to this morning, that the candid shot that Eric Roberts shared is from the set.  I’ve always liked Eric Roberts. You’ll notice from the post that the original photo has now been deleted from his twitter.  Tease. Interesting that there was an article in Billboard (thanks to Maria @lifeloveartfilm) that mentiond Keaton Simons’ music would be involved in the film (that’s Eric Roberts’ stepson), but the Safdies were quick to nip that rumour in the bud.  THE ROVER: 51 HQ photos and it even includes my buddy from the night Matt who I saw last year and he still remembered me which is either a good or bad thing lol. Thank you so much Posh *mwah*. IN OTHER NEWS:  Rob sure does love his comedy and seeing him with Neal Brennan and Jerrod Carmichael gives me hope he’s actually considering doing a comedy film. Yeah I know I’m just being selfish, but we all know he had a great comedic timing. For those who have a soft spot for David Cronenberg, I tweeted a link to an extract from Numero’s interview with him about his latest novel. UHQ, HQ what’s a girl to do other than thank Posh for spoiling us so – the Maps to the Stars portraits, the Numero pics, The Rover Cannes pics of the Holy Trinity and then the Comic-Con portraits – heaven that’s where I am. I’m pretty sure I tweeted The Film Stage’s 50 Best Films list back in February, but it’s worth repeating since Cosmopolis is no. 15. How spoilt are we this week – Blackbook one of my fave photoshoots. I seem to say that about all of them. So we leave off this week knowing that Rob is indeed on the set of Good Time, that we’re closer to finding out the US release date for QotD and that hopefully in turn results in the Aussie release date.  I’m loving the start to 2016 so far … so let’s see what next week brings *looksatyouUncleKarl*  Until then …

How I love Robert Pattinson, let me count the ways … DIOR:  Stating the obvious I know, but Rob’s latest interview in Numero Magazine – he’s just so special in an incredible unique way not in a ‘special’ sideeyes for weirdness way.  What an amazing ride he’s taking his fans on.  I love how elegant he looks in Jean-Baptiste’s photos that go with the interview. What an amazing muse for Dior. Mind you Rob’s been my muse for years. I also love that DiorMag calls Rob “The New Man”. I can’t believe I even pondered whether Dior would renew their contract with him.  How great were those BTS shots  too – thank you Uncle Karl.  The 2013 shoot must have been a little jealous since we got a HQ version of one of the shots from the 1000 Lives Coffret. Never say no to that … ever.  I am well and truly DiorRobified this week. LIFE: I thought we had seen a similar shot before of that new Dennis Stock still, but when I got home I realised that it was definitely new and it was HQ – bonus. Love that Germany is still screening this film at special events. Thumbs up to Japan who is releasing the DVD on 2 June – loving the sound of their extras. This inspired me to update the Life Review post with some great DVD reviews. Did I mention how much I like how Taiwan is promoting Life. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: We finally have the screening dates and times for the 21st Vilnius International Film Festival (Kino Pavasaris) and lucky peeps get 4 opportunities to see the film.  Just like in Sofia.  I hope when we get the film in Australia we get 4 opportunities at a minimum *lookstoSydFilmFest*. LOST CITY OF Z:  I know the film is yet to be marked “complete”, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it does get a release in October in Brazil.  I know Australia is getting it later this year or early 2017.  They keep referring to it as a blockbustre so let’s see if it’s released in time for the Academy Awards – although I know I’m in the minority here – each year I lose a little more respect for those awards – I mean Leo has been good in the past, but The Revenant was overrated IMO. I felt like he won that award out of pity for missing out in previous years.  Oops sorry got sidetracked. QUEEN OF THE DESERT:  Not much to report this week other than it looks like Egypt will be getting the film soon and I might have asked Atlas Distribution when we might find out the US release date for #QotD ever so nicely. Hope we get some kind of response or even just a tweet of them announcing the release date. It’s March after all. Best Film, although we already knew the 15 April Polish release date, confirmed it on their Facebook. AND IN OTHER NEWS: Thank you Jules for your amazing edits and wallpapers, we are truly lucky that you are a part of RPAU.  Spoiling us for choices. Thanks to Robjectify, we now know that those early photoshoot pics of barefoot Rob on the beach leaning against the car are from photographer Larry Bartholomew. Love that new shot. Now if only it was bigger. For those interested, I tweeted a 2003 interview with Claire Denis – liked reading how she thinks. Looking forward even more to High Life – if that’s possible.  Rob apparently attended the opening party for MetrographNYC (a new cinema in New York that focuses on indie film). I must say their bookstore looks fascinating. If  I get to NYC this year I’m definitely checking it out. I also loved how Rob is keeping us in the dark with his look for Good Time. Yeah no official photos were taken of Rob, but we do know that Brady and Mona were there and possibly the Safdie Bros. Guess we know where both their films might be screened in the future. I end off most weeks saying ‘can’t wait to see what next week unfolds’ and it’s been amazing this year so far and we’re only in March.  So until then …
