So far this week … DIOR:  Photos are still trickling through and I’m not complaining.  Dior also updated their website and included a section “celebrities spotted at the show“.  Posh spoilt us rotten by sharing with us an exclusive video – almost 4 minutes of Robert at the show.  Happy days indeed. Cindy gave me the heads up on Christian Dior’s video for the Summer Show 2017 – Celebrity Interview.  No interview with Robert but there are glimpses of him. I made 2 gifs of his involvement.  THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: Glasgow Film have unleashed their schedule for the film and links to purchase tickets.  Michael Epp posted a nice message about the Munich Film Festival on his Facebook. The US unleashed a new trailer and poster for the upcoming 22 July release and Curzon Mayfair Cinema in London is holding an advanced screening on 14 August 2016.  I updated the Scott Walker soundtrack post with preorder links for digital, CD and vinyl (including limited edition clear vinyl which I may or may not have preordered).  I’ve also updated the review post again. Total Film dedicated a page to an article about the film and Brady mentioned how important Robert was for funding the film. HIGH LIFE:  Looks like it won’t start filming until October in Poland, so stay tuned.  LIFE:  With the upcoming Brazilian release on 21 July 2016, reviews seem to be trickling in. GOOD TIME:  Looks like another production company has joined the film. I thought at first it was Terry Dougas’ Rhea Films that’s involved with Hercules Funding, but it appears to be a different company.  QUEEN OF THE DESERT: Israel is releasing the film on 7 July 2016 and Athens is having a special screening on 6 July 2016. I also tweeted the Greek poster for Queen of the Desert.Italy will have another screening as part of the Lake Como Film Festival and Slovenia will see the DVD released in October.  IN OTHER NEWS: I retweeted a set picture from The Lost City of Z that Sally found on instagram.  I did my 6 monthly wrap up of what we have enjoyed thanks to Robert. The Playlist put together a list of 50 films to expect over the fall film festival and Good Time & The Lost City of Z were 2 of Robert’s films that made the cut.  Until next time ..

It had been a relatively quiet week until Saturday, that is, when Robert made a somewhat surprise appearance at Kris Van Assche’s Dior show in Paris. So let’s see what has been happening shall we.  THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  Things are heating up for this film.  How great is it when you start seeing cinemas adding the film to their “coming soon” and New Yorkers at least know they will get to see the film at the IFC Center. Some great reviews coming out of both the Sydney and Edinbrugh Film Festivals, haven’t seen too many from BAMCinemaFest as yet (although Paris could be a distraction so I’ll keep looking this week).  In any event, I have updated the review post. IMDbPro updated confirming “limited” theatrical release for the US, but it’s same day VOD so at least if it’s not at a cinema near you you can hopefully watch online; although it won’t have quite the same intensity I feel.  Filmin updated their page and added a few news stills and I love that little teaser trailer.  Thanks to Posh we had a few of those stills in much better quality. She spoils us so. For those who have been waiting for news on whether a soundtrack would be released – wait no further. Russia released it’s movie poster and also brought the release date forward to 8 September 2016.  That’s two Robert films premiering in Russia in September. Don’t forget to get your tickets to the screening for Atlantida Film Festival.  The Munich Film Fest included the film at no 1  on films you should see at their festival and speaking of film festivals, Israel has 3 screenings as part of the film’s debut at the 33rd Jerusalem Film Festival. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: Russia how exciting – you’re finally getting the film on 29 September.  The bluray & dvd are coming soon to Poland – I’ll keep an eye on the websites for an actual release date. We posted a while back that the DVD would be released in Italy in early July – according to Film in DVD the Italian version will include “deleted scenes”.  How great if there’s some unseen Robert footage. There’s still some cinemas in Australia that will screen the film in July & August. I’ll update that post as and when I come across any more. Salty Popcorn finally posted their review – remember I mentioned Vertigo and I met up with Jason the owner and saw the film at a media screening. Jason didn’t disappoint – although he wasn’t a fan of the film overall he did say “Sadly there isn’t enough scenes with Lawrence but I would happily pay money to see an entire Lawrence movie starring Pattinson.”” Told you his reaction to Rob’s performance was gold.  The film was released in Thailand on Thursday and I have tweeted a couple of promo pics – which I love. DIOR: Robert in Paris with Kris Van Assche – see there is a God. How fabulous does Robert look F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. Thanks to Posh yet again for feeding our HQ|UHQ hunger. So much gorgeousness so little time. The Seattle Times did a great write up as well where they stated “Pattinson, who has successfully moved in a more mature direction since starring in the hit “Twilight†franchise that grossed over $3 billion worldwide, is now a veritable asset in the serious, high-fashion industry.”  Robert’s been an asset for years to anything he’s involved with IMO. THINGS I TWEETED: Peter Lindbergh tweeted a pic of Robert from his photoshoot – not new but always worth a look … right? Fandango has set up a page for The Childhood of a Leader and the film was included in 10 films to see at BAMCinemaFest.  HookedonFilms mentioned in an article entitled “The Victors & Victims of Harry Potter” that Robert’s performance “in … The Rover … showcased [Rob’s] longevity as an actor”. Thought I would share that since I know a lot of us have a soft spot for that film. Anyway it’s been an exhausting 24 hours – let me thank Michelle too for the awesome work she did early into the morning today posting Rob pics *mwah*.  So let’s see what unfolds next week … until then.

Let me again thank the Sydney Film Festival and Nashen Moodley for the opportunity of seeing Robert Pattinson “The Childhood of a Leader” on the big screen. I hope it finds an Australian distributor because you need to experience this film in the cinema – don’t think home cinema will do the soundtrack justice.  Let’s see what else has happened this week. LIFE:  I tweeted a reminder that the film can now be seen in The Netherlands on Film1 – it looks like until June 2017.  Paris Filmes also confirmed that the release date for Brazil is 21 July not 7 July as previously stated. We had posted about this change of date back in May, but it’s nice to see it confirmed by the actual distributor. How great are those photos that @ibabysky found on Rene Teichmann’s Facebook from the Berlinale red carpet. I love gems like that being unearthed. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  Vertigo and I saw it – can’t believe it. We also caught up with @deesoonz, Carmel and Sue – which was very nice. I’ve done a write up about my thoughts on the film and have created a discussion post.  I’ve also updated the reviews because there’s been some great ones coming out of the Sydney Film Festival like “ I was blown away by this film. The confidence in the craft, the ambition and the willingness to take chances, to be surreal and provocative. One of my favourite cinema experiences of the year.” I added links and ticket info for the Munich Film Festival. There are a few “must see” lists that include this film. I also tweeted a link to a French interview with Brady for those interested. Portugal finally has a release date for the film – 17 November it is. Thanks @justoneofus1 for letting us know. I updated the BAMCinemaFest post as there is now a Q&A with Brady Corbet at that 23 June screening. and I also updated the Edinburgh Film Festival as Brady is doing an introduction to the film and a Q&A post screening.  The festival also interviewed Brady ahead of the premiere on 18 June. Page58 decided Jules’ wallpaper was good to use, shame they removed our watermark lol. If you are interested in Brady’s Masterclass that was recently at CEFilmFestival you can head over to Pattinson Art Work who attended and filmed the event – they’ve also reviewed the film. DIOR  The magazine is out. It’s moments like this that I wish I was a slave to fashion and also a loyal Dior customer.  Deep pockets would help too. And how great was it to see Robert at the A$AP Rocky and JW Anderson afterparty – I love pictures that show us Robert’s gorgeous smile. QUEEN OF THE DESERT:  I updated the reviews as expected with the release in Portugal. I also came across a slightly different trailer and realised it was being screened on India Safari TV.  HIGH LIFE: Looks like Poland has decided to assisting in financing and shooting locations. I have update the post a couple of times as I came across articles the last one giving us confirmation of the actual budget of the film. IN OTHER NEWS:  It was a tease to wake up on Tuesday morning to that photo of Robert with Gary Michael Walters. I hope they are indeed working on ideas together because Gary has executive produced some of my recent favourites – Drive, Nightcrawler and one that’s on my “to see list” – Whiplash.  Of course it could be Robert that is brainstorming and not something that Gary is already lining up to work on.  Time will tell I guess. Posh spoilt us this week with a new video of Robert on TF1 France from 2009 and that fabulous UHQ photo of Robert with Katie Leung from 2005. Love love love them both. Thank you Posh.  As we head into next week with the North American premiere of The Childhood of a Leader at BAMCinemaFest I wonder what else will unfold.  Until then …

It’s Sydney Film Festival week. Which is probably why I’ve been a little more silent than normal given that I’ve seen 5 films since Friday and I’m soooo looking forward to Tuesday night because that’s “The Childhood of a Leader” night. There’s been some fabulous films – if you get a chance to see Almodovar’s “Julieta”, Dolan’s “It’s Only The End of the World” or Ergüven’s “Mustang” to name a few – do it.  Speaking of great films … THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: Germany is having it’s premiere of the film at the Munich Film Festival on 27 June 2016.  Then the lucky Germans get 3 more screenings. I love how much this film is being acknowledged at film festivals – that’s 9 since June. I posted a little video interview of Brady Corbet from Paris. He doesn’t mention Rob but he does talk about the processes of making the film. I know some of you like hearing from the directors. The US no longer has to sit in limbo like it is with Robert’s other film *cough*, this one is being released on 22 July – and Chris Coen posted a cool official poster for the US release on his instagram.  LIFE: Is available to rent or buy in Iceland – I love when I come across information like that.  HIGH LIFE: Well we’re not aware of what’s really happening with this film, but I’m not nervous, I just know sometimes the ducks don’t line up like they planned, but I did think it was worthwhile sharing that article that talks about Klaudia Smieja and her excitement for the upcoming project.  QUEEN OF THE DESERT:  Aussies – you can preorder your Bluray or DVD for its 29 September release – I know some who haven’t been able to get to a screening will love that they now know when they can own Robert of Arabia (thanks Carmel for that moniker). How fabulous that the advertisement for the film made it to the front page of Publico in Portugal.  How could I not share since Ana emailed it to us and her excitement was contagious. Italy is now able to rent the DVD|Bluray and will be able to buy it from 5 July 2016.  I also decided to post some information concerning Australian and international box office – I know some of you like that kind of information too. IN OTHER NEWS: How is it 2 years since the most amazing night of our lives.  Yep The Rover Sydney premiere which I tweeted and posted on instagram as a Throwback Tuesday. It seems to be The Rover kind of week with Canal+Cinema screenings in June and Rolling Stone mentioned it in their article about the US TV adaption of Animal Kingdom by saying “Michod delivered on the promise, too; his follow-up, the dystopian Western The Rover, got outstanding performances out of Pearce and Robert Pattinson.”  Damn straight. I loved Michelle’s choice of Throwback Thursday – Remember Me seems to be this week’s theme. I also love when I’m randomly looking for something and come across a photo of Rob being used to sell – you guessed it – Raybans. They need to just bite the bullet and do what Dior did and have him as their ambassador.  You know they want to. Sorry that I’m not as verbose as usual, but like I said – it’s Sydney Film Festival week – I hope Aussies are enjoying their Queen’s birthday long weekend and so I’ll leave you with this … only 2 more sleeps until I meet Charles Marker, so until next week …

How is it June already.  Before we know it I’ll be doing our 6 months in review that I started years ago.  DIOR: How cool is that glimpse of Robert Patterson [sic] – yeah Cindy I heard it too – thanks for the heads up for the vid though. Love Esquire Singapore’s article too ‘Perfect Pairing” indeed and that gorgeous in store promo at the new London Bond Street boutique. TWILIGHT: Oh dear Lord I miss Robert’s press junket interviews – kidneys. LMAO.  LIFE: Love that this film is still popping up for screenings.  Also the DVD|Bluray was released in Japan on Thursday in case you like to collect DVDs and it’s also available for rent. Anton’s still promoting his film which is really lovely to see. LOST CITY OF Z: I tweeted that CeDe (Swiss) already have preorder links for blurays & dvds.  That’s confidence.  Also the film has reverted back to “post production” on IMDb. We pondered on Twitter whether it’s reshoots, voice overs or as I said – perhaps someone added it to complete ahead of it actually being “complete”. ScreenDaily has also confirmed that it’s definitely still in post. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: Swiss (Italy) is finally getting their Bluray & DVD  on the same day as Italy.  Portugal is premiering the film in Lisbon and Porto on 8 June – 1 day before it’s official release and there’s a few (0r currently 8) chances to win double passes. We’ve added all of them to the bottom of the post. Good luck to those entering. I’ve updated the list of Australian cinemas screening the film and also added the latest reviews to the Movie Review post. I was fortunate enough to go to the media screening on Tuesday night with Vertigo and Jason from Salty Popcorn whose response at the end of the film I loved – “RPatz was awesome”. Waiting to see his review. FilmInk has posted an article/interview quotes from Werner Herzog in case you are interested. Also, Transmission Films provided us with the production notes on the film which I have uploaded to the Film page. I updated the Atlantida post with information about free tickets and also that not only is the film closing the festival but it’s actually also the film’s premiere in Spain. I’ve also been tweeting the Thai distributors FB posts here and here. HIGH LIFE: I came across an article that mentions “High Life (whose ad appeared in Cannes), that should shoot this summer around August”. Interesting since we know it definitely did not shoot in Cologne in May. Stay tuned. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: When you see comments like “enlivened by an utterly chilling turn from Robert Pattinson” how could I not update the International Movie Reviews. No doubt there will be some Australian media reviews coming out in the next week as well.  I also updated the Atlantida post for this film with information about free tickets. Filmin subscribers will also be able to watch all the films online from 27 June.  I also came across the the UK & Ireland release dates – 19 August it is then – unless they change it at which time I’ll obviously update you. How exciting. As you know the film is currently screening in Sweden and it’s again included in “must see” movies. IN OTHER NEWS: Gates McFadden shares a pic with Robert and Eddie Redmayne from the HFPA dinner in 2014. I understand that she shared it back in 2014, but it’s definitely new to me. So that’s it for this week. Hope all in Sydney (and East Coast of Australia really) are keeping safe and more importantly dry. Looking forward to seeing what news we hear next week so until then …

A quieter week this week, or so I thought until the last 24 hours.  Here’s what we found out this week.  THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  Monday in Australia seems to be The Childhood of a Leader news day. Not sure whether this is 100% accurate, but I came across a mention of an 11 August UK release date. Time will tell I guess. It is having it’s UK premiere though in July at the Edinburgh Film Festival.  How exciting for Jules.  The film is now screening and/or competing in 7 film festivals with the addition of Switzerland, Russia, Scotland and Spain (Majorca).  I guess that explains the possible release date for Spain that I found on Filmin seeing as the Atlantida Film Festival is both online and physical. What about the bonanza of stills – I’m going to ignore that spoilerish one *zipslips*. Thanks Sally & Posh. I tweeted a reminder that tickets are now available for the NY premiere. I updated the Champs-Élysées Film Festival post as they updated their Facebook with an event page for Brady’s Masterclass which also confirmed that it will be followed with a screening of the film (although we already knew the date of time of the screening). LIFE: Netflix will be screening the film in the US from 29 June.  I tweeted that Life is now available on Filmin (Spain) and if you are a subscriber you can see Cosmopolis, Little Ashes and Bel Ami. LOST CITY OF Z: So many of us vying for that job, but Sue I’d love to be paid for just staring. In fact I think we could all just be volunteers for that role. No salary required. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: I tweeted a link to the subtitled Thai trailer. Amazon Italy have finally updated with preorder links.  They also confirmed the July release date I posted about a few weeks ago. I updated the movie reviews as some Australian reviews are trickling in plus how could I go past comments like “[Pattinson] in a fairly small but effective role”.  We should see more coming through next week as there is one more media screening early in the week. I love that Transmission Films has gotten into the QotD spirit with their Twitter and Facebook logos. Fans in Plymouth (UK) are being treated to a free screening in July. I love free screenings *cough*. We also found out that the film will close the Atlantida Film Festival in Spain – that’s two Robert movies at the one festival.  See sometimes patience does pay off. #WeGOForRob:  How lovely of Rob to say thank you. DIOR: Wowza those pics in UHQ – thank you Posh.  Thank you! And if they weren’t good enough we got the BTS video and then a slightly extended version. I agree Sue why don’t they just give us the entire film they did on the day – you know they want to.  Happy Days! IN OTHER NEWS:  Simon Emmett’s photoshoot is on my list of faves (well all photoshoots really), so I love it when I come across untagged versions. Michelle is keeping us up to date on Robert’s films screening on FOXTEL. Lakeshore Records did a Throwback Thursday to The Rover soundtrack and Maps to the Stars is screening on Cinemax|HBO from today until 30 June – which is good considering what a small release it had. Well I think that’s it for this week – hope next week brings us a few more good surprises. I love Robert surprises. Until then …
