Robert Pattinson is Terrific in #HighLife
Kerri Craddock talks High Life on TIFF Long Take and gives us a heads up to make sure we don’t know much about the film before seeing it. I’ve set out a transcript of what else is discussed but you can listen to the whole conversation from about 10.35:
Transcript:
KC:Â So thrilled to premiering Claire’s film as a gala … You’ll find a little bit of Kubrick in here … I think there are some nods to 2001 a space odyssey but she takes it to a whole new level and you’ve never seen Juliette Binoche in a scene like this – just remember that once you see it.
And Robert Pattinson keeps up with Binoche?
KC: Can anybody keep up with Binoche? I mean she’s an amazing tour de force and one of the greatest actors of our time I think, but Pattinson is also terrific in the film and this is one that you should really not know a lot about before going in, but it’s definitely worth seeing.
Robert Pattinson talks films and his craft with Emilie Kefalas
Â
SCAD District interviewed Rob during the festival last year and and just uploaded it for our listening pleasure. Rob talks about his movies (mentions his song in Damsel), directors he’s worked with and will work with (mentions working with Ciro Guerra in 2018 clapshands) and more. Almost 10 unadulterated minutes with Rob. They also posted the new photo below and which I’ve cropped above.

Rob called in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show earlier today to talk about “Good Time” and the positive response to it. Ryan asked him how it felt to receive a six-minute standing ovation and Rob replies that it was great but he’s a bit worried that it might have been his lifetime peak. Not a chance Rob.
And a bit of trivia: Dustin Diamond (Screech from “Saved By The Bell”), a former roommate of Rob, first introduced him to Hot Pockets.
Tim Sika of Celluloid Dreams (90.5 KSJS) talks with Rob and Josh and Benny Safdie about “Good Time” and their efforts to bring realism to the crime drama. Rob discusses maintaining anonymity while filming and the Safdies talk about casting Benny as Connie’s mentally challenged brother Nick and former jail inmates as extras.
