I just noticed on IMDbPro that they have the Russian release date for Robert Pattinson “The Childhood of a Leader | ДетÑтво лидераas” as 8 September 2016.  So I checked Volga’s website and they have in fact brought the release date forward from 22 September.  That’s exciting … right.  The Ukraine still has the release date showing as 22 September 2016, but I will keep an eye on it.  I tweeted the Russian poster this morning, but here it is in case anyone missed it.
Film Music Reporter posted that Scott Walker’s soundtrack to The Childhood of a Leader was available for preorder on Amazon with an anticipated release date of 19 August 2016. For some reason they’ve linked the US Amazon site, but that page doesn’t exist.  Exclaim! also noted the release and Amazon page and added that the soundtrack would be distributed by 4AD, although they haven’t added to their website yet.  I did some digging and I found it on the UK Amazon site.  I know quite a few of you who will be thrilled with this news.  As Vertigo said “the soundtrack is like it’s own character”.  Brilliant.  In the meantime, above is the cover artwork and below is the track list.  You can preorder at UK Amazon here:

Love these stills that FILMIN has included on their “The Childhood of a Leader” page.  Obviously this second one is a different variation to one we have seen before and the other picture has always been a screencap. *UPDATED* HQ stills added thanks to Posh.
Â
The one below is a crop from a HQ we have seen before
I also love these posters from Filmin’s blog where they have posted an article called “How To Create A Dictator” which was an original article written by Joan Sala. Â The article may contain spoilers so read at your own risk. Â I’ll post the extract that relates to Rob:’
“Many virtues whose resonance is even greater if we consider the deep philosophical value on emerging, perfectly embodied in a key appointment that arises in the mouth of the character played by Robert Pattinson, a leading political idealist close to the family who he says that “what is truly terrifying is not a person able to spread evil may arise, but there are so many people who follow their guidelines are incapable of doing good “ .Demolishing statement that directly is related with the controversial (though mostly historical) report on the banality of evil  gestated by Hannah Arendt in 1963, thought that we should never lose sight of our historical memory, even if more we look at the turbulent times that catastrophically currently it reflects the war in Syria.”
I don’t think this is a surprise because films similar to Robert Pattinson’s “The Childhood of a Leader” usually don’t attain wide release. Â I also saw it mentioned on HSX the other day and IMDbPro also has just updated with those details. At least it is being released unlike Australia *tapsfoot*
We know that Robert Pattinson “The Childhood of a Leader” will be released in the US on 22 July 2016, but I came across IFC Center’s listing and saw that they will release screening times on 18 July 2016.  I’ll remind closer to the date.
