Remember when it was rumoured Rob gifted Nolan a book on Oppenheimer’s speeches after they wrapped Tenet. Well here’s Christopher Nolan confirming that he did in fact receive the book as a gift from Rob and why Rob didn’t feature in his film “Oppenheimer” – “He was busy, he’s very much in demand these days”. Video starts at the spot where Nolan is asked about the book and why wasn’t Rob offered a role.
“Yeah, Rob, off the back of Tenet, where we refer to Oppenheimer, and I had wrote a thing about this incredible moment that Oppenheimer and the scientist of the Manhattan Project had where they could not completely eliminate the possibility that when they triggered that first gadget, that first atomic device, they might start the chain reaction that would destroy the world,” Nolan said in an interview with journalist Tara Hitchcock.
Nolan continued, “We used that as a metaphor for Tenet, which Rob was in. As a wrap gift, he gave me a book of Oppenheimer‘s speeches from the 1950s, where you’re reading these great intellects trying to deal with the massive consequences of the way in which they’ve changed life forever, for all of us.”
Esquire is reporting the following based on a “blind item” from DeuxMoi, not sure I really believe Rob would be “competing” for a supporting role in Dune 2, but then a lot of people didn’t believe he would be Batman. I thought we could do with a break from Batman promo:
Gossip blog DeuxMoi made waves when it recently shared a blind item alleging that Harry Styles, Tom Holland, and Robert Pattinson are competing for the same role in Dune: Part Two—presumably Feyd. Of that lot, only Pattinson can channel the manic malice the role requires (moreover, it wouldn’t be the first time he played a sociopath who delights in bullying Chalamet). Rumors have also circulated around Eternals star Barry Keoghan, who fanned the flames with a cryptic tweet following the announcement of Dune: Part Two. We’re pulling for Pattinson or Keoghan, who each have what it takes to play a murderous, unhinged maniac. Sorry to Holland and Styles—nice guys aren’t wanted here.
Just Jared is reporting that Rob met up with up and coming director, Janicza Bravo yesterday (21 Feb 2022 – that seems like a busy day for Rob). Anyway no information about the meeting is available, but as Just Jared suggests, this could be an amazing project in the pipeline. Maybe it’s for one of Rob’s WB projects that he said he’s working on and will hopefully announce soon. Rob’s in demand at the moment and I can’t imagine anyone not wanting to work alongside him.
The 35-year-old actor was spotted meeting with one of Hollywood’s most exciting up-and-coming directors on Monday (February 21) at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif.
Robert was seen giving filmmaker Janicza Bravo a hug goodbye while leaving the hotel. We sure hope that they were meeting to discuss a collaboration!
For those who don’t know, Janicza is the director of the movie Zola, which she co-wrote with Slave Play playwright Jeremy O. Harris. She has also directed episodes of TV shows like Them, In Treatment, Mrs. America, and Atlanta.
Roadshow sent an email today to alert Aussies and Kiwis that if you aren’t around at 4.00am (AEDT) to join DCFandome they are hosting a Virtual After Party streaming at 10.00am AEDT on 17 October 2021. Here you will be able to see highlights (which clearly means Rob) and the new trailer for The Batman. Of course we hope to bring it to you in any event, but if you want to join in the fun bookmark the link above.
It has been intriguing over the last week or so to see reports of Rob apparently having “tennis lessons” in Los Angeles. Today Just Jared is reporting that not only is Rob having lessons, but so is Rami Malek. They claim Rob has been having lessons daily. Now we know Rob and Rob when he has a movie coming up goes to extremes. The question is – is Rob really just getting ready for a role or is tennis a new passion that he just had to call up Rami for a game.
The 35-year-old Tenet actor and the 40-year-old Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody star were spotted leaving a tennis lesson on Friday morning (August 6) in Los Angeles.
The guys, who met on the set of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 over a decade ago, were dressed comfortably in their workout clothes.
I’m taking this with a grain of salt. The film “Fearless” described as “The rags-to-riches story of Jamie Vardy, a striker who rose from the lower reaches of English non-league football to eventually win the Premier League title with rank outsiders, Leicester City F.C.” is currently at script stage on IMDbPro. According to the Mirror UK:
LA-based Brit Adrian Butchart wrote the scripts for the first two movies in the ‘Goal’ film trilogy.
He has since been planning another football film and has held talks with Vardy after his incredible rise from non league factory worker to Premier League title winner.
…
Butchart has already confirmed considering Zac Effron and Robert Pattinson to play Vardy but One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, who is from South Yorkshire, is also in the frame.
