Robert, Mia, and the Zellner Brothers share their thoughts about filming “Damsel” with Variety at Sundance. When asked about the lyrics to the song Rob sings (“Honey Bun”), Zellners said it would be too spoilerish, after which Rob laughingly replied: “Honey Bun, Honey Bun, Honey Bun…Honey Bun, Honey Bun, Honey Bun”.
In this interview snippet with The Wrap, Rob talks about playing a cowboy in “Damsel” and jokes about his horseback riding experience, or lack thereof. Laughing at the Ring of the Nibelungs reference near the end: “One thing, Robert, you need to hang onto the reins. Cause you’re actually holding onto the saddle. And also, your tongue keeps hanging out of your mouth.”
A new interview with Robert from the “Damsel” press junket at the Sundance Film Festival. He tells Vanity Fair West Coast editor Krista Smith that he’s curious how Western movie fans will respond to the film, talks about working with two sets of directing brothers, his experience on “Good Time”, and his love of playing oddball characters.

Wonder what will happen to the wall post Sundance – inquiring minds want to know. Also, I love that grin that Rob does.
