I thought I’d do a little post to welcome our 4 newest affiliates. Some of them you will undoubtedly know – In the Land of Fantasy (aka CSI Kat) for her incredible wallpapers, RobsessedSpain (for our regular commenters you might recognise Aeren), ROBsessedBrasil and a fairly new site that you might not know exists – RobertPattinsonNews focussing, like us, on Rob’s career. If you haven’t had a chance to check them out, you should head on over. They are also all on twitter for you to follow. It’s great to have you all as affies.
I was just about to head to bed but decided to have a browse on Amazon.com before logging off for the night. I am very very excited to say that they now have Remember Me available for pre-order with a release date of June 22 – wooo hooo, how awesome is that. We of course already knew the DVD was being released in June thanks to Maria & now we have a date & pre-order option as well. Just the BEST Easter present EVER. At this stage, there is only a US release date but as soon as the Australian & UK dates are announced we will of course let you all know. Same goes for details on the special features – Rob’s commentary *big smile*  To pre-order your copy like I just did, all you have to do is click on the highlighted link above. Am definitely going to be purchasing many copies of this brilliant film that is for sure. Bring on June 22 – just CANNOT wait.
Update:Â For our friends in the UK, the RM DVD is now available for pre-order right here with a release date of July 26 – excellent news. Have just pre-ordered my second copy.
Update number 2: Amazon.com just notified me that it is now available for pre-order again - I know I just ordered 2 copies.
Some of you will know our affiliate Britpack Dreams and the lovely Suze who runs it. Suze has let us know after much consideration that she’s decided to revamp her blog and will mainly focus on Rob (very very wise Suze) although she will still keep you up to date on news about Sam, Bobby, Marcus, and Tom as and when it happens. Her new site is called “In a Pattinson State of Mind” and you should head on over and check it out. If you relied on Britpack Dreams – you can still get your fix up until the end of Easter after that make sure you follow  Suze at @PattinsonSoM – we love your new site and it’s a very clever name since I know I’m always in a Pattinson State of Mind. See even Rob is chuffed!
The wonderful Paul Brennan has told us that Blue Room Cinebar ( 8/151 Baroona Road, Rosalie QLD 4064 / phone (07) 3876 4566) will be screening Little Ashesfrom 25 March 2010 too! This is awesome news since there has never been a screening in Queensland. I noticed that if you click on the link it says screening from 1 April, but Paul advised that it’s screening from 25 March and so as soon as we know definite screening times we will add this to the post in the sidebar widget. So that’s screenings in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane – fingers crossed Hobart comes through – for you Michelle since I know you are yet to see on big screen.Â
Please everyone go along and support Rob because if you enjoyed his performance in Remember Me and you haven’t seen him in Little Ashes, then I urge you to go along. Personally these arthouse films allow Rob to shine. Rob I hope there are some more like this in the tonne of movies you said you are doing over the next 2 years “a little dark, a litte funny”.   If you are reposting this fantastic HQ, please credit Paul Brennan and Robert Pattinson Australia.
I am very excited to say that How To Be will be screening on the Austar/Foxtel channel Movie Extra tonight at 8.30pm. The film is also scheduled to screen tomorrow at 11.15am & Tuesday 30 March at 7.00pm.  I know many of us own this wonderful film on DVD but it’s always exciting to be able to watch Rob’s films on the television. So so great to see HTB is getting some TV air time in Australia – awesome news. I just adore Art & this film as I know you all do too.  So wish I had Austar or Foxtel, so wish. Thanks so much Sare for letting us know.
Tamara at Kojo Pictures told me today that Sydneysiders are going to be lucky once again and will be able to see Little Ashes on the big screen. The Chauvel Cinema in Paddington will be screening Little Ashes for 2 weeks from 25 March 2010. Their website at the moment doesn’t have any details, but I have contacted them and will let you know screening times shortly. This is great news coming off the back of Little Ashes winning Outstanding Film in the category of Limited Release at the 2010 Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) held in New York on Saturday, 13 March 2010. If you weren’t able to come along to the screening in December or during Mardi Gras then you really need to get along to the Chauvel during this 2 week period so you can truly enjoy Rob’s performance on the big screen.
