For the first time in a long time I’m not sure what to say – except a big thank you to all of you who visit us and spend time putting up with my occasional abuse – c’mon the word “ugly” and “Rob” should NEVER be used in the same sentence.   Today we celebrate 2 years online … where has the time gone – I love how I get sucked into the Rob vortex!  As some of you already know, I, of course, did not start the site, Michelle on the other hand has been here since day 1 and I’d say Vertigo was probably commenting since then too.  I was lucky enough to be asked to help post in February/March 2009 and Cilla gave Michelle and I the site in I think May 2009 (thanks to Cannes May 2009 is still a bit of a blur).  So here we are November 2010, still loving Rob and yeah well no plans to go anywhere whilst this man’s career flourishes – I mean just think of what’s in store for us in 2011 that we already know – Bel-Ami, Water For Elephants, Breaking Dawn and whatever other projects Rob will hopefully commit to soon *please Rob stop teasing*.   Just as importantly, we’ve met and made some amazing friends along the way not only through our affiliates, but also all of you who take time to visit.  I’m sure I can speak on behalf of Michelle and Vertigo when I say we are so looking forward to 2011 and beyond and hope you are all here to share that with us – otherwise it will  just be Michelle, Vertigo and myself posting and commenting because we really are not going anywhere.  Well enough from me – as probably expected and predictable as I have become, here’s my little tribute to Rob to celebrate not only our birthday but  his brilliant career so far because really that’s why we are here.

Oh and a big thanks as usual to Setje at our elite affie pattinsonlife for some of the pics I’ve used in this vid – you know the ones!

I just wanted to do a post in case you are wondering why some of your comments are not showing up.  Well WP is the devil I am convinced and for some reason even though tonnes of you have been posting comments here at RPAU for nearly as long as we have been around, WP has decided that some of you should go into SPAM.  Well I’ve asked an IT guru to look into this because seriously I have no idea why it has decided to start doing this.  I know there are certain trigger words that automatically spam comments, but there are NONE in your comments.  So can I ask that you just be patient.  If you don’t see your comment appear instantaneously then just be patient – it means that either Michelle, Vertigo or myself are not actually on the site at the time the comment comes through and can’t hit approve.  So to apologise here’s some photos of Rob and  his “cough* gorgeous eyes.

We just wanted to take this opportunity to welcome back our good friends & elite affie Robert Pattinson Source.  Those who follow them will know they recently went on a hiatus & they are now back which is brilliant news.  If you haven’t checked out their site & amazing gallery, we recommend you do so right now.   Here are a few examples of their beautiful HQ pics.

Are you hotlinking from us?  Then I suspect you will be familiar with this photo:

hotlink

For those who don’t know what hotlinking is – here’s a simple explanation from Wikipedia:

Hot-linking is a term used on the Internet. Hot-linking is when someone uses a link to an image that is saved on another website instead of saving a copy of the image on the website that the picture will be shown on. For example, instead of saving picture.gif and loading it on to their own website, the person uses a link to the picture as http://website.com/picture.gif. Hot-linking uses the bandwidth of the person who owns the website where the picture is stored. This costs that person money.”

So if you DON’T want to be embarassed by having the above pic all over your forums/blogs/sites – then I suggest you “right click and save” any photos that you want to post from RPAU.  That’s why we don’t disable “right click & save” – so that Rob can be shared and enjoyed, but our paid bandwidth well that’s not for sharing because that’s just plain stealing.

That is all.

I felt like seeing some Tyler this morning because he always seems to put me in a better mood.  I’m sad to say that one of our elite affies RPLife is closing its blog (click on link if you want to know why) and really this first pic of Tyler kind of expresses the mood I feel at the moment.  This truly is a sad day and unfortunately its a reflection of why this world just can’t freakin get on.  Rob is not owned by any of us -we don’t love him more or less regardless of what we blog.  We just love him and really everything else should just be left at the door.  Mandy we wish you all the best and hopefully this is just a temporary hiatus!  Thanks for everything over the years.
