Few things have happened in relation to this film. IMDbPro now lists pre-production as at 14 February 2025. The film is currently filming:

but we have not had confirmation that Rob is indeed also acting in the film except that one of the cast posted this on his IG today:

Will be interesting to watch this unfold.

IDMbPro has “Primetime” listed as pre-production as at 28 October 2024, but still only lists Rob as one of the producers. From Busted Sunsets below – we see that there have been casting calls and that they insinuate that Rob is the star of the film. No confirmation of that role as yet, but you can check out the casting calls at Project Casting and Caballero Casting. According to Caballero Casting filming is to take place between mid-February to late March in New Orleans region. Rob wasn’t kidding when he said he was going to be working, working, working.

Thanks Busted Sunsets and SallyVG for heads up.

You can check out information about “Primetime” at our dedicated page for Icki Eneo Arlo. If it becomes apparent that Rob will be the lead role, then I will create a dedicated film page for Primetime. Stay tuned.

According to Deadline, Rob is involved in producing a new film with Lance Oppenheim. As with Possession, there are rumours Rob may also star, but we will have to wait for confirmation of that aspect. Rob is a busy busy bee which is what we like to hear. From Deadline:

Veteran documentary filmmaker Lance Oppenheim (Ren Faire) is pivoting to fiction with his next project, Primetime, which will be financed and produced by A24, with Robert Pattinson among the producers.

While not much is known about the film’s genre or plot, it’s said to follow a journalist who takes on an underworld of crime and changes television forever. We’ve heard from multiple sources that the project takes inspiration from To Catch a Predator, the NBC program put on as part of Dateline, as well as its host Chris Hansen, though the studio wouldn’t confirm. Sources also had Pattinson attached to star, though others clarified that there’s no deal in that respect for the moment. Stay tuned.
