FILM UPDATE: IMDbPro Updates Robert Pattinson “The Stars At Noon” from “Development Unknown” to “Optioned”
Earlier this month we posted that a new producer and production company, Barnstormer Productions was added to The Stars at Noon. I thought at the time this might be to replace RT Features. Nothing has been said about that and IMDbPro still has them involved, but . Today, IMDbPro updated the status of the film to “optioned”. Whether this means that Barnstormer are in the process of getting financing and pulling the movie together only time will tell, but at least something is happening on the film.

Not sure what it means for the film. Hopefully it will still happen

This is kind of off topic but hope Maria does not mind. I just came upon an old movie from 1999 on Hulu, called Himalaya. It is French made (of course, Hollywood does not have the motivation to make these movies), Nepalese movie, Director’s name is Eric Valli. It is beautiful and breathtaking! It is available on YouTube.

I don’t mind PM thanks for recommendation

I think it will – looks like new producers came on board

Thanks, Maria. Only two actors in the whole movie with the rest playing themselves. Remarkable. The woman who plays the daughter in law is the daughter of displaced Tibetan parents relocated to India in real life. She apparently was found in Bangalore and cast in Pitt’s Seven years in Tibet in 1997. Story itself is done with the usual French sensibility with breathtaking photography and the score is fantastic. The child actor who plays heir to the chief is so good.

I agree, Himalaya enfance d’un chef is really a masterpiece.
