Robert Pattinson wanted to punch Robert Eggers during The Lighthouse filming

Adorocinema interviewed Robert Eggers and Willem Dafoe for the upcoming release of #TheLighthouse n Brazil on 2 January 2020. Although at the beginning of the interview they asked about Rob wanting to punch Eggers during the rain scene the full explanation about the shoot starts around the 2.15 mark. I like how Willem has figured out how much Rob trolls the media:

“Apparently, the movie took a lot of work to get out of the paper. The difficulty was so great that Robert Pattinson stated in an interview that he wanted to punch Eggers while filming a scene. Asked about this question, Dafoe bet on the mood to give an answer. “I didn’t mean to punch him, I’m more patient than Pattinson,” he said with a laugh.

“I didn’t even know he wanted to punch me!” Said Eggers. “The problem was that we were filming a scene where the rain didn’t appear right in the close up, so we had to get the special effects guy to splash water in his face with a fire hose. Only because of that , Robert got off the mark and the camera’s focus was not on him so we had to repeat this scene many times. ” With so many repetitions, you can’t blame Robert for getting angry, right?”
