Weekly roundup of all career news for Robert Pattinson

GoodTimeMov instagram stories for the win this week and so is Rob.  Seriously can’t believe the farce that happened out of one tiny little joke.  But let’s get to what we’re really here for. GOOD TIME:  Russia has pushed back its release date to the end of September and Cinemanse confirmed the Finnish release date to me. Sri Lanka seems to be releasing on 4 August but I couldn’t find it at any cinema and Scope cinemas confirmed to me that they wouldn’t be screening the film. So I’ll keep looking.  In the meantime, Japan is definitely releasing on 3 November and they have a website set up ready to go soon (I hope). Wow the Safdies are like creepy stalkers with that photo of Robert sleeping. The promo continued along and it was hard to keep up on some days. Robert attended Q&As in San Francisco and LA, did press with the Safdie Bros, had gorgeous portraits taken (thanks Posh!) and we again were spoilt with his dulcet tones. It’s been full on but oh so worth it. The theatrical posters for the Netherlands & France were unleashed as was the dubbed and subtitled German trailers and for the Netherlands. I know which one I prefer. We all wanted a slice of the Nikas bros cake. You know we did!  Robert appeared on JimmyKimmelLive. Personally I thought it was classic Rob, but it was a shame that a classic Rob story was turned into something more – so much that Robert came out with a statement which we know hardly ever happens. What a shame some don’t have a sense of humour. No doubt Stephen Colbert will make something of it as well – will be interesting to see next week. IDOL’S EYE:  We already knew it was on the backburner so it was good of The Playlist to confirm that it’s not happening any time soon. HIGH LIFE: Andre Benjamin! And Patricia Arquette is out. There goes Robert’s high school crush, but we know he has great chemistry with Juliette. Robert also mentioned in his Innerspace interview that he’s doing cosmonaut training in a few weeks. How exhilarating. THE LOST CITY OF Z:  It still amazes me that new photos continue to be uncovered. IN OTHER NEWS: Jules’ Charles Marker helped us step into August. Aussies can preorder the Good Time soundtrack via JBHifi. If you are in NYC you can go to the Safdie Bros curated series that inspired #GoodTime at Metrograph – and maybe they will even have those posters for sale. Robert presented at the 2017 HFPA Grants Banquet. COMING UP NEXT WEEK: The Lost City of Z will be released on DVD in Sweden, Finland, Germany – you can still catch it at NZFF (Wellington) and MIFF (Melbourne) and South Africa will have it’s cinema run. Good Time can be caught at MIFF (Melbourne), Anonimul Festival (Romania) and of course will have it’s LA/NY release.  If you’re in New York, well I’m really jealous, not only do you have the chance to see Robert at the Times Talk Q&A, he’ll also appear on BuildSeriesNYC and on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. There’s also a private “invite only” NYC premiere. I actually am not surprised by this. Lots happening so stay tuned, if I’ve missed dealing with anything in this review, the link will be below.  See you next week.
