Let’s see what’s been happening this week.  IDOL’S EYE: I have everything crossed for Oliver Assayas. This is a film Robert obviously wants to be involved in – like The Lost City of Z – he’s hanging in there from the beginning. DIOR: I will never tire seeing those pics. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  How fantastic for Brady Corbet and Lol Crawley – fingers crossed they win. It’s definitely worthy of the awards. I watched 45 Years a few days ago which is another film that Lol did the cinematography for. He has a beautiful style.  As for Brady, the only other film I’ve seen competing with him is The Witch and I just couldn’t understand the accolades for it – it’s no competitor for me. I came across a few more reviews and have updated our review post with great comments like this one “Robert Pattinson is also beguiling as Charles, a colleague of the father, and fans of his earlier work should welcome him as a different beast.” GALAS & PARTIES:  Woah woah woah – Dazed 25th Anniversary Party – that is all.  THE LOST CITY OF Z:  Germany & Switzerland might have release dates – I’m still not 100% convinced with that 4 May date. Argentina has changed and pushed it back yet again. Hopefully the April date sticks. DAMSEL:  Funnily enough I was discussing the possibility of the film being included at Sundance with @desoonz about 24 hours before the article appeared. Fingers tightly crossed. THE TRAP:  The UK and US seem to be on top of things. I hope this movie eventually gets made. IN OTHER NEWS: Those gorgeous photos from the MTTS Red Carpet  and Cosmopolis Promo Toronto – beautiful. Thanks Posh. Move over Franco – that role has Robert’s name written all over it (if he wants to do it that is) ha!  I also tweeted a really great read from Harbour Picture Company on the background to how they worked on the soundtrack for The Lost City of Z.  I highly recommend reading if you like delving into the background of movies.  Michelle keeping on top of FOXTEL spoiling us with Robert films.  COMING UP NEXT WEEK:  You can see The Childhood of a Leader at Pori Film Festival (Finland), Queen of the Desert and Life at Kinomania Festival (Bulgaria) and Bulgaria will have its theatrical release of Queen of the Desert from 2 December. See you next week …

It’s not hard for me to pick a highlight of the week. Seeing Rob’s rosey cheeks and exposed chest again was a delightful suprise.
However I have to shout out to both Ms for some jaw dropping posts.
