Starting the week off with a Dior photo is always  a good sign.  DIOR:  Love the untagged & HQ photo from GQ Italia. THE TRAP: Slowly slowly it’s coming together again. It better film this time round. Just saying. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: Greece is screening the film on TV in December and Seven Films confirmed to RPAU that it would be releasing the film on DVD approximately 30 Nov 2016.  Turkey released on DVD this week. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: I’ve now added 3 preorder links for the DVD release in Spain. I’ve also added preorder links for Canada. Japan continues to outdo everyone with their promotion of this film.  I mentioned last week that Portugal was to have it’s theatrical release on 17 November, but on checking to tweet a reminder on Thursday I found that it’s been pushed back a week. Finland has a chance to see the film as part of Pori Film Festival at the end of this month. GOOD TIME: I know it’s stating the obvious that the film will be released in 2017, but it’s great to see the Safdies are still working hard on it. Cinando is also showing a distributor for Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Benelux. Now if we could only find out who might distribute in Oz. THE LOST CITY OF Z: Italy will be seeing the film in April – apparently. IDOL’S EYE: And whilst I’m mentioning Italy – it will also see this film as it acquired a distributor during AFM.  RING OF THE NIBELUNGS: I love that we can be surprised by new promo photos from this film. IN OTHER NEWS:  What a surprise to see Robert at that special event held by Paramount Pictures’ Brad Grey.  I love surprises like that and thanks Posh for sharing the UHQ with us. Posh also shared the Dior advertisement in GQ USA, gave us the headsup about some new pics from the 2009 Japanese photoshoot and the GMA piccies from The Rover promo in 2014. Eddie Redmayne defended Hufflepuffs and we had a glimpse of Cedric. That put a smile on my face on Thursday.  Thanks to Suze for the heads up about it. I also tweeted this great BTS pic of Brady from the set of The Childhood of a Leader. For those who have seen the film they will know the significance. COMING UP NEXT WEEK:  Importantly, the US release of The Childhood of a Leader on DVD (and Canada too) and in case you missed the tweet – you can preorder on iTunes. It’s also available on Netflix.  You can still catch it at Film Festivals – Heimspiel (Germany) and Skara (Sweden). Portugal and Japan will have their theatrical releases on 24 & 25 November respectively.  You can watch Queen of the Desert and Life at Kinomania Film Festival (Bulgaria).  Hope we get some additional film news next week … until then.
