Love it when a film is being promoted and they sneak in information of upcoming projects for Robert.  So let’s get to it. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  With the UK release of the film reviews were coming thick and fast as were interviews with Brady Corbet.  Most interviews were positive, so I updated the movie reviews. I tweeted a copy of The Guardian article. In other articles, it was nice to read that Brady Corbet, or Robert for that matter, didn’t have problems with set stalkers. I’m loving the lack of them too because although I get excited when Robert starts a new movie, since The Rover I’ve made sure I don’t get information overload because as they say ignorance is bliss and the full impact of the movie on the cinema screen is so much better going in blind (or as blind as I can – thanks to those who spoilt Childhood for me).  Loved reading about Brady’s love for 35mm – I know Carmel will agree with him there.  Thanks also to Posh for spoiling us and in case you missed it she shared a few of Chris McAndrew’s pics from the latest photoshoot with Robert and Brady. I respected her wish that they not be published. I’ve updated the cinema lists for both US & UK.  Liam Cunningham attended Q&As both in Ireland and Sarajevo.  Check out our timeline for tweets about Liam’s appearances and some more interviews from Brady. THE LOST CITY OF Z: Imagine my surprise when I saw US & UK release dates mentioned on Studio Canal NZ’s release schedule.  Bring it. Stay tuned for an Aussie date. QUEEN OF THE DESERT:  If you live in Athens or Thessaloniki in Greece you can now watch Queen of the Desert on the cinema screen. Epitelos! DAMSEL: Looks like filming has wrapped in Utah - exciting days to come.  I can’t wait to see what this film is all about.  IN OTHER NEWS: Eye for Film gave us something to look forward too – the possibility that Robert may work again with Brady Corbet in his next film and the news that Robert will be working again with Mona Fastvold on her upcoming project “The Bleaching Yard” based on a Norwegian play/novel.  Waiting for more information about that.  Sad news for Metrodome going into adminstration, but luckily Soda has taken over the distribution of The Childhood of a Leader in the UK.  World Photo Day kicked off with Jules sharing her great “LIFE” edit and Film4 also decided to get in on the act.  Little White Lies had a fab cover this week for the release of TCOAL. How about the poor guy who played Cedric in Prisoner of Azkaban. Good news for Robert though.  COMING UP NEXT WEEK: The Childhood of a Leader is screening at Summer International Film Festival (Hong Kong – hope you have tickets because the session is sold out), Sie Center in Denver (US) and at Haifa Cinematheque (Israel) – all screening nfo available at our film page.  Can’t wait to see what next week unfolds.  Till then.

Thanks Maria. I’m not commenting, but reading all the posts I can while we travel. Especially love the updates, thank you. Can’t wait to hear more Re Damsel. Has me intrigued.
Im sorry to hear about Metradome.
Loving all the Brady interviews (35mm rules!) and that the Hong Kong FF is sold out. See studios; there is an audience for intelligent and original films.
@Sue. Thinking about your special holiday always makes me smile.
