What a way to start the week (although technically for us it was Tuesday) MetGala Robert Pattinson. I hope he realises that we are now going to be expecting this every year – no pressure Rob.  METGALA2016: Wowza that first candid of Rob smoking. That’ll do me for the entire year .. honestly.  So many great photos of Robert that it’s impossible to single one out here (other than the smoking pic) and the Mario Testino instagram photo of Rob holding FKATwigs’ handbag.  I love his cheeky face – he’s such a character. Pretty sure we have over 500 pics from the event and I might have a few more once I digest them all and work out what may not have yet been posted. Big shout out to Posh who has spoilt us beyond words with this event. QUEEN OF THE DESERT:  So many Aussie cinemas have come on board to screen this film. I’ve updated the list especially since Tasmania finally got their act together – still happy dancing for you Michelle.  It’s definitely a wider release than LIFE.  Robert on the big screen is a must at least once a year. Don’t forget to enter the Weekend Edition competition for your chance to win 1 of 10 double passes and also the ABC Radio National competition.  Sometimes I’ll tweet smaller comps as we head towards 2 June so keep an eye on our Twitter on the sidebar of the site. Singapore Airlines will be screening the film on its in flight services for the month of June.  Anyone who wants to see the movie in Turkey has no excuse now that the distributor, Chantier Films, has provided a detailed list of cinemas who will be screening the film. SAPOMag has confirmed 9 June release date for Portugal. #weGOforRob:  Didn’t take this fandom long to reach the $13k target which is a marvelous result. Now we have a new target to achieve – $17,000 with an overall target of $30,000 for this year until the GO campaign (normally in November). I know this fandom can do this, without a doubt. It’s great to see it banding together to continue to raise more funds to help others. Robert must be chuffed.  THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: Looks like Paris will get a screening as part of Champs-Élysées Film Festival – no definite date but I will keep you all posted. Studio L’Equipe also tweeted last night that the film would be screening in Paris. I like that Brady is including one of Claire Denis’ movies in his Carte Blanche. THE LOST CITY OF Z: We already knew about the proposed 1 December 2016 release date for Portugal, but it was confirmed in SAPOMag which is a more reliable source. Thanks to @justoneofus1 who gave me the heads up for this and also for QotD. IN OTHER NEWS:  David Cronenberg will be playing God in a film – I thought this only fitting since he’s like a God to us because of what he did for Robert’s career. The Safdie Bros “Heaven Knows What‘ has been released in UK cinemas.  If you get a chance to see this intense film – do it.  Dior let us know that Rob was wearing Dior at the Met Gala.  Toby Antsis shared an old photo with Robert from when he interviewed him for Breaking Dawn Pt 1. It wasn’t a photo we hadn’t seen before but it seemed to be a close up version. Also High Life was mentioned in Ioncinema’s article about movies filming in May.  Lastly, if anyone is interested in watching the documentary about The Met Gala, Dendy cinemas is premiering on 11 May – you may recall there is a one second glimpse of Rob in the trailer (about 2.06). Filmink did an article about actors who have hit the cutting room floor *sniffsRawdy*. Fingers crossed we get news about High Life filming next week – wouldn’t that be an awesome way to lead into Robert’s 30th birthday which we will celebrating (Saturday) our time.  Hope Robert has an incredible lead up to it.  Until then …
