It’s a big week here at RPAU.  Seven years online is an achievement I wasn’t sure we would make or to be honest, had no idea would happen when I first got involved in February 2009. I remember how excited I was when Cilla approached me to see if I was interested in posting on the site. And I won’t forget that my first post attracted a negative comment that I still remember today because apparently I wasn’t being objective enough about Rob. Which is ironic because this person wasn’t being objective enough about my post. Anyway, I guess it was an introduction into what putting yourself out there on the internet really is all about. The fandom has changed over the years, but one thing that hasn’t is our love and desire to bring you all things Rob career wise and haven’t we had a ride. We look forward to continuing the promotion of Rob for many years to come. LIFE: For the Italian promo F Magazine interviewed Rob. I’m always a little wary of interviews that seem to focus on Rob’s private life given that we know he rarely, if ever, discusses it. We did get some great quotes from Rob though, like how he’s unpredictable and that he’s not afraid to take a challenge. Japan finally locked in a release date in December, as well as a few dates in January. M Pictures (Thai distributors) updated their Facebook coversheet and photo in the lead up to its release on 12 Nov. and then they tweeted the evolution of Rob’s career. They’re also holding an interesting little contest to win double passes with 5 guys engaging in a James Dean makeover. France is also gearing up for the DVD|Bluray release in January 2016. Vertigo Films unleashed the official Spanish website for the film prior to its 20 Nov release too. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: The game of chess for release dates continue. Poland has moved the release back by 3 weeks to April. For Aussies concerned about missing out on the screenings during the Brit Film Festival which concludes next week, don’t worry, the film is still included in Transmission’s coming soon schedule for 2016. Macedonians are included in the lucky peeps getting a chance to see the film this year with it’s Gala Premiere at CineDays. Werner Herzog had some lovely things to say about Rob too. HIGH LIFE: Patricia Arquette is now listed on IMDbPro under “High Life” and Vulture listed Claire and Rob in their article about 100 women directors Hollywood should hire which was a very interested read. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  I was reading an article about LEFFEST and noticed they mentioned that NOS was the distributor of the film in Portugal. Hopefully they’re not just talking about the Festival. I also went to check on ticket sale links for the festival and noticed that they had removed the screening that was to happen at Estoril on 12 November.  Perhaps as I said in the post, that was a media screening and not for general public. Or maybe they just decided to have the first screening perhaps premiere at Lisbon at 9.30 pm. The film is also been shown to potential distributors at American Film Market, we had our first review from The Hollywood Reporter who attended and surprise surprise it’s not a favourable review. Don’t read it if you don’t want spoilers, because thanks to this reviewer they pretty much left nothing to the imagination – other than Rob’s performance which wasn’t even mentioned. LOST CITY OF Z:  I know we know it’s finished filming, but it’s always good to see the words “post production” in print. Last day of filming was definitely 31 October 2015. Now we do what we always do when it comes to Rob’s film releases – patiently (or not so patiently) wait. GOOD TIME: Speaking of patiently waiting, the Safdie Bros tweeted confirmation of their cinematographer for the film. In addition to that, thanks to the keen eye of @Robjectify, we also had confirmation of the shoot dates in New York in Jan/Feb 2016 and some more plot and character info. Exciting  times ahead. THE ROVER: I added the preorder links for the blu-ray|DVD release for Japan, which as you may recall is 6 January 2016. IN OTHER NEWS: Rob was named as a First Ambassador for GOCampaign, which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering how he has supported the GOGO Galas over the past few years. Rob also attend the MOBO Awards – he’s a beautiful soul isn’t he – yeah stating the bleedin’ obvious. THINGS I TWEETED ABOUT:  Esquire tweeted an article about the new Dennis Stock book on James Dean.  Mia Goth has been nominated for “Most Promising Newcomer” at the 2015 British Independent Film Awards and the HQs continue on what we might have to rename HQ Monday.  Rob was so cheeky at Comic-Con in 2009. Next week brings us the GoGo Gala Dinner on 12 November and well I can’t wait to see what else unfolds.  Until then  …

Another amazing update, thanks Maria. I see a few things I’ve missed. Sadly I didn’t get to any of the QOTD screenings in Brisbane this past week. Real Life wins again, I’m afraid.
Wow. Has it really been 7 years?! Congratulations on a wonderful achievement! I feel so privileged to have been apart of the ride with you. Even though I’m not around as much, my fondness of this amazing man has grown each and every day. Thank you for all that you do. Here’s to another 7 years of you showing us Rob doing what he loves, being healthy, happy and successful!
*kisses & hugs*
*waves to Sare* hope all’s really good with you 🙂 I know re: 7 years, amazing isn’t it & what a glorious 7 years they have been, wow. You’ve been with us almost from the beginning too Sare! Thank you for your lovely words *hugs*

That’s a shame Sue I would have loved to have heard what you thought.
It blows my mind it has been 7 years. Every single post has been amazing. I thank ever single contributor over the years.
@Maria – that first post sounds like a baptism of fire. Knowing you, that negative comment just spurred you on. We have all be beneficiaries of your wonderful tenacity.
@Michelle – It would be great to hear about your first post
