Holy wow – Rob as Henry Costin was a feast for the eyes wasn’t it and I could not think of a better way to start off this week.  Other than getting another set photo from Northern Ireland of Rob sitting in the mud. Whoever said I don’t like Mondays clearly didn’t have incentive like we did this week. And that happened before Posh spoilt us with 196 photos of Rome Rob. I think I may have almost passed out even though we had seen most before, they were either not HQ or tagged. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER:  Remember the special screening and Q&A at Pleasantville? PattinsonPro attended and if you want to see what she says then click here. I also tweeted the opinions of others – WendyBeth and CandyQ – there’s a few from Candy so you might want to check out either our’s or Candy’s timeline. No real spoilers just making us even more excited to see this film. The Burns Film Centre tweeted a photo of Jonathan Demme with Brady Corbet from the weekend screening of The Childhood of a Leader too. Also, last week we posted that the film would have it’s premiere in Spain at the European Film Festival Seville, but what we didn’t know or realise then was that it will be included in the official competition. We also now have the dates and screening times for LEFFest. HIGH LIFE: Patricia “Freakin” Arquette. That.is.all. Actually there’s a great interview/article about Claire Denis that I’ve tweeted about before, but I just realised that she actually mentions Patricia so I’ve retweeted it. Great read. Also KFTV claims the film is slated to shoot in Cologne in April 2016. Time will tell I guess. I also tweeted a link to a great indepth interview with Claire Denis for those who, as I said, like me want to familiarise themselves with her. Or a more recent interview at Cannes this year. IMDbPro also updated to change the “Untitled Project” to “High Life”. LIFE: Canada’s release date has been pushed back from 6 November 2015 to 4 December 2015 and according to IMDbPro it’s claiming to be a limited release. Indonesia will also see the film at a later stage, with Feat Pics confirming to us they are now planning to release in early December 2015. Anton attended the screening in Japan and had a few nice things to say about Rob. GOOD TIME: It’s been rumoured that Good Time will film in New York some time this month and according to Production Weekly, it just might be on schedule. Not much information has been available for this film, I like that they are keeping their cards close to their chests. I also noticed that a casting director is now attached to the film *clapshands* LOST CITY OF Z:  It’s a wrap! One step closer. THE TRAP:  I noticed that DCM, one of the production companies (and distributors) mentions more info coming soon about The Trap on their website.  I’ll keep that on my radar. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: I tweeted a link to a Q&A with the Key Art Designer for Queen of the Desert, Chris Sousa Ebels where he describes working on the film as a highlight of his career and also how the film’s theatrical poster came about. Interesting read. You know what else was interesting – the actual film. I had a chance to see it yesterday and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not sure if I’m going to write up a review, will see if I get a chance as I have a few things going on at the moment, but Rob’s performance is wonderful and the film as a whole I found totally absorbing. And we all know my love of Kidman and Franco and I actually enjoyed their scenes together. I found that the only review of the film that I paid any attention to was Jess Ellicott’s and I have to say she is 100% on point. IN OTHER NEWS: For those living in Cork, Ireland, the Safdie Brothers “Heaven Knows What” is screening as part of the Cork Film Festival. I know it’s on my list of movies to see whilst I’m on holidays over Christmas/New Year. I really have to give up my day job in order to catch up with everything. Looking forward to seeing what next week brings.  Cannot believe it is November already.  Until then …
