Here we are again for another weekly wrap up and the glorious HQs keep on coming. LIFE: More of Rob’s interviews are surfacing either in print or video during Berlinale.  The BTS pics – we need more of those  I’m sure Anton would have taken more than just those 3 of Rob and Dane. The colour version of the Life poster is just beautiful and I love the dubbed clip at the Chateau Marmont. That place is magical. I tweeted about some upcoming screenings for the film: Triskel Arts Centre in Ireland 18-21 October & Norden Farm in November. And Aussies/Kiwis are getting the bluray/DVD/Vod on 17 December 2015 *cartwheels*. You can preorder via the links we provided this week if you haven’t already done so either with Sanity or iTunes. QUEEN OF THE DESERT: Just a reminder to get your tix for the British Film Festival screenings through Palace Cinemas later this month, in case you haven’t already done so. Looks like New Zealand might be getting the film in 2016, but I’m not surprised if Kiwis are wary of this, I am too given what happened with Life. Jordan has finally added the film to their coming soon – 15 October seems to be the general release date for the Middle East. THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: I noticed that Protagonist’s website added their promo schedule for the American Film Market this November and I was happy to see there were 2 screenings for the film. Fingers crossed (and everything else really) that this film is picked up for distribution by more than the 2 we currently know about. I’ve been searching every week to see if I can find this film on distributors slates, but I haven’t been lucky – yet. I also noticed that one of the production co’s updated their website with a slightly different synopsis. All 3 now can be found on our film page.  How wonderful is that interview with Brady & Mona, although if you don’t want spoilers don’t read it.  I’m going to be honest – not sure if it’s a general comment that is made or whether it’s about the actual film. Yeah I’ve tried to remain spoiler free too. Sometimes it’s not so easy for us to do so. Cindy thinks I posted the comment about flight schedules to Taipei for Sue, but secretly I was checking for me. Just joking though – maybe. Great to see this film being screened at film festivals. Has me wondering, will it be included in the Sydney Film Festival’s schedule next year. It seems to me to be the exact type of film that they love to screen. Again, putting it out there. At least those who can get tickets and be at Pleasantville on 25 Oct won’t have to wait until next June if in fact it does make it to the SFF.  That Q&A with Brady would be so insightful. THE ROVER: So not only are the Japanese lucky that they are getting Life in December|January, they’re also getting The Rover on bluray/dvd/vod.  Now all they need for a hat-trick is QotD. Putting it out there for you people. THE TRAP:  I noticed on IMDbPro that the production status was updated to 6 October 2015. And now I have “Heading in the Right Direction” on loop in my head when I think about that film. THE LOST CITY OF Z:  I also noticed that 3 new castmates were included on IMDBPro.  Can’t wait to see this film it’s been a long time coming.  And before you ask, yes I’ve seen the sneaky shots of Rob on set that surfaced today, and no I won’t watch the vid.  Sorry if you’re annoyed that I won’t post them. I’m going to respect Rob’s wishes and not share them. It’s not like we don’t know what he thinks about the sneaky pics and I don’t think he’s just referring to the papz when he talks about that. THINGS WE TWEETED ABOUT:  For those interested in the actual Dennis Stock|James Dean photos, Thames & Hudson have published a new book. I hear it’s beautiful. Also, those Jay Leno and Munich HQs. No matter whether we have those pics in MQ, HQ is always better. Don’t forget for those who have twitter, we tweet reminders for films that are being released, shown at special events or even on TV so keep an eye out.  If you don’t have twitter don’t worry, you can always catch up with the Twitter widget we have on the sidebar at the site. Until next week when I hope we have some news about either The Trap, Good Time or Claire Denis’ film (I read that Claire is involved with a retrospective at the forthcoming Geneva Film Festival) – maybe we will get more info in November. Until next week …
