How delightful was Rob the interviewer – cheeky guy.  Rob’s always full of surprises.  Speaking of surprises, lovely to see those Evening Standard photoshoot pics in that glorious size.  Have honestly been waiting almost 6 years for that.  We kicked off the week with those beautiful portraits from 2010 and the New York “Remember Me” promo and the Cannes portraits.  Funnily enough in my travels last week I bookmarked the fact that I found the Remember Me Bluray had just been released in Carmel’s favourite part of the world “Austria“.  Not sure if it’s first time or just that it’s back in stock but it was included in “New Releases”.  And we ended the week with the lovely Le Grand Journal pics from 2014.  In movie news:  MAPS TO THE STARS:  I reminded you all that Norway was releasing Maps to the Stars on DVD.  LIFE:  I’ve added the Thailand release date again as I posted it a few hours after I finalised last week’s review.  So I’m just popping it in this one in case you missed it.  Turkey gave us a new poster and Pinema added it to their website and confirmed that 25 September is most definitely the release date.  eOne Benelux also now has a dedicated “Life” page.  And Mexico got their premiere with Anton Corbijn yesterday.  I retweeted lots of tweets from @giffmx.  We had a few interviews where Anton talked Rob and I get where he’s coming from in his choice of Rob.  I’ll add to that post as more come through.  I also started the international review roundup given that some of the Mexican reviews trickled through. Again, I’ll update that post as and when they come through.  QUEEN OF THE DESERT:  Poland and Indonesia now have release dates, but the US seems to have pushed back it’s release to later this year or early 2016.  And thanks to @QueenFilmFan who noticed that Switzerland no longer has a release date and that Ascot Elite (Distributor) has also removed QotD from their website.  We now know who the distributor for Greece is which I guess is a good sign - it’s the same one as for LIFE, but still no release date for either.  Also the Russian distributor, Top Film, now has a dedicated page for the film on their website.  And whilst I’m talking QotD and LIFE - @deesoonz tweeted me a link to an article about Transmission films partnering with Sony who will distribute Transmission’s titles both physical & digital formats for home ent market Aus/NZ from 1 October 2015.  So that’s great for us Aussies/Kiwis.  THE ROVER:  Loads of tweets coming out of Japan for the release on Saturday.  You can see them all at @dakkansha but I did tweet a link to all theatres screening the film.  It looks like most are loving the film – no surprise really.  LOST CITY OF Z:  Now has a distributor in Brazil for whenever it gets released in 2016 *fingers crossed*.  Hoping we hear some news re filming for LCoZ next week.  August is just around the corner.  Before I go I’d like to thank you all for the birthday wishes – I felt very spoilt.  Thanks Michelle, Vertigo, Suze and Jules for your spectacular birthday wishes which render me speechless – a hard task let me tell you.  Again, thanks everyone.  Just remembered that Venice Film Festival is announcing its lineup on Wednsday – fingers crossed that we see The Childhood of a Leader on the list.  Until next week … surely we should get a LIFE trailer … surely
