Well well well what a week it’s been.  Charlie Hunnam is in a movie with Rob.  I was a little upset about Benedict pulling out, but that lasted about 2 nanoseconds when I realised who had replaced him.  Some of you may remember my Tumblr back in 2012/2013 called UltimateSexyBeasts.  I’ve hardly been on Tumblr the past year, it somehow lost its lustre, but I may find a few minutes every now and then to spam some Rob & Charlie – we shall see.  And if the news about Charlie Hunnam wasn’t enough I came across a Swedish article that claims Assayas’ is hoping to start filming Idol’s Eye in March 2015 (albeit fingers crossed and finance gets sorted).  Rob and Bob – I’m still burning that candle.  Then we get news that Davos has joined Rob on The Childhood of A Leader.  Oh sorry I mean Liam Cunningham for those not addicted to Game of Thrones.  Cindy made a good point on Twitter – wonder if Rob will ask him about plot spoilers.  The Childhood of A Leader is most definitely filming. I have had confirmation of that from the set.  I know I’m in the minority but I am loving that no photos are being leaked of Rob.  He must be loving the fact that he can focus without distraction.  And since we’re talking films – Queen of the Desert had it’s world premiere at Berlinale on Friday.  No Rob in attendance unfortunately.  It seems the film is receiving lukewarm reviews.  Rob seems to be garnering praise for his minor role though from most.  I can’t wait to see the film myself to make up my mind because there’s a few films that I’ve seen in the last few weeks that are talked up and have Oscar noms and I just found them lacking.  Different strokes for different folks.  At least we have Life to look forward to in a few days and Suze tells me that there has been a press screening and from what she’s seen the reviews are positive for both the film and performances.  For those wondering what happened at the AFCAs on Saturday night, Rob didn’t win Best Supporting Actor *insertsadface*, that honour went to The Babadook.  Who knew that The Babadook really would turn out to be our own nightmare.  Let me finish on a high note though – Rob’s received another nomination for Best Supporting Actor from the Australian Film Circle Critics Awards.  Yeah baby.  I think I might go to those awards since they are held in Sydney, just so I can smack whoever doesn’t vote for him over the head.  Ok just kidding I don’t condone violence *sideeyes*

You know, I really do think Rob and Guys performances in The Rover are award worthy. I know it is a strong field this year, but I am a bit surprised the movie hasn’t medalled. Hopefully the Australian Film Circle Critics Awards corrects this oversight. Or maybe we will all look the other way while Maria corners a few of those voters

LOL Carmel! I’m perfectly happy to look the other way if necessary too 🙂 Totally agree, The Rover deserves to walk away with more awards but still….pretty special seeing the nominations rolling in 🙂 that’ll never get old in itself!! 😉

Thanks for another great round up Maria!

I’m a day late, but I got here eventually! Thanks for another fantastic round-up, Maria. Boy, would I love to be a fly on the wall to watch Maria corner those voters. Go girl! And Vertigo, make sure you capture it on film. We could all use a good laugh!
