Be still my beating heart … promo Rob is coming.  We had the delightful news this week that Rob would in fact be attending the world premiere of Life at the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival on 9 February 2015 – that’s photocall, press conference and red carpet *twirls*.  I’m still holding out hope that Rob may be a last minute attendee at the Queen of the Desert premiere on 6 February, but as I type this he’s definitely not listed to attend.  And speaking of Life we got a new still.   Now if we can get one per week until the actual movie releases … Also for our Aussie followers, Transmission Films confirmed to me this week that as soon as they know the Australian release dates for both Queen of the Desert and Life they’ll let me know.  And speaking of Aussies, if you were following our Twitter on Thursday you will know that Vertigo and I were at the AACTAs shaking our pom poms for The Rover.  Well it wasn’t to be, this time, for Rob or David Michôd who missed out on the award for Best Supporting Actor & Best Direction *grumblegrumble* but it was a step in the right direction for Rob garnering a nomination for hat performance, so we will always have that.  Anyway doesn’t matter because before the ceremony Vertigo and I caught up with David.  We were all ready for an interview, but in the end decided to just chat with David because he snuck in right towards the end of the red carpet.  Sound like anyone else we know?  I let David know that he should take some credit for Rob’s performance in the film.  Knowing how humble David is he started to say how divisive the film was and I, in typical Maria fashion, interrupted him and said he would be pleasantly surprised to know that it really wasn’t as much as he thought.  That I had done his homework for him and summarised the reviewers not just for Rob, but for him and he needed to go and read them over at Michôds Kingdom because he would see it wasn’t as bad as we all thought.  Oops I just remembered the gif and pics I used – David’s going to be so embarrassed.  We also caught up with Liz Watts and Susan Prior.  Susan Prior – what can we say.   She has definitely won over Vertigo and me.  If you haven’t had a chance to watch the video Vertigo took of Susan’s post win interview that she did for media, you really should.  When she speaks about Rob she does so with such reverence.  And it’s not about her experience of working with him, but what she believes she saw in him.  It’s beautiful.  Anyway, David’s busy working on things and so is Liz.  Fingers crossed they work with Rob again one day because it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had.  Don’t forget if you want to keep on top of what they are doing, just follow us at Michôds Kingdom.  Sorry that’s the end of cross promotion.  Now back to who is important here.  How did you like the pics of Rob from Curse of the Ring.  He’s so young ay.  Love it when golden oldies are unleashed.  Now let’s all make sure we get some rest, take this week easy because we are gearing up to Berlinale which starts on Thursday and lord knows we are going to need all the stamina we can.  Bring on promo Rob …

I know ’14 was a special year for RPAU but I must say it looks like ’15 will have some superb opportunities of it own. Congrats on yet another red carpet Ladies. I can’t wait for Promo Rob.

The Banner! Jules you eat up superlatives like Rob does. There are just none that are adequate any more. I love it.

BTW – Thanks to the Twitter feed I was alerted to the new banner and thanks to Michelle for previously advising on deleting the cache to view it

First up, thank you Jules for the stunning new banner – just breathtaking! Now to Maria. Cannot thank you enough for these weekly reviews – I do try and get here most days, but it’s great having the overview to really put it all into perspective. This week has also put another notch in your and Vertigo’s ‘red carpet interviewers’ belt – these personal documentations make this site stand out from all the rest (not that I bother with any of them!) So thank you for sharing and for braving the mad world of the media. Now, time to take a deep breath and prepare for the good times coming. Soooooo excited!!!!
