As you may recall, TIFF had it’s first major exhibition in 2013 with David Cronenberg “Evolution”. Now TIFF has created a site David Cronenberg: Virtual Exhibition which explores David’s career. If you love Cronenberg then this is the site for you. One of the links it provides is for Behind the Scenes. Don’t miss Rob’s close up at 2.07 in “BTS Cosmopolis – A Spectre Is Haunting The World”:
“Much of Cosmopolis takes place in the back of Eric Packer’s (Robert Pattinson) limo, which has been cork lined—or “Proustedâ€â€”to block out the sounds of the external world. While the limo provides a very intimate setting for Eric and his occasional companions as they make their way through the streets of New York, more than 160 extras were employed as the mob of protestors running rampant outside of the car. This video takes a closer look at the sound design of this film, and the technical challenges of balancing the chaos of a crowd with the extreme quiet inside the limo.”
Ah how I LOVE that gorgeous closeup 😀 Great video, thanks for sharing Maria. Off to check out the site.
That look at 2.18? Seriously, I want that on loop!!!!!! *cough, gif queens, are you listening? cough*
Thanks Maria – will check our the DC site when I get the time.
*giggles* @Sue, noted 😉
Ah, Michelle. Why doesn’t everyone else in my life respond as positively to my requests/demands as you do? *giggles & thank you!*
LOL Sue, I hear ya! About to post 😀
Aw congrats to Mr C! This is great, thanks for sharing. 😀
Guess what I’m checking out after I finish catching up here? Thanks for the snippet – so interesting seeing how films are actually made. How the actors remember and deliver their lines while being rocked and pelted from the crowds outside I’ll never know. Amazing concentration. Thanks so much for the link to this, Maria!
Does Rob do anything that is not completely adorable or sexy? That look is precious.
What a wonderful and fitting tribute to DC’s work.
I’ve just spent the last hour or so exploring the DC:VE site. It’s fantastic. Loved watching the shorts and commercials – I can’t imagine ever seeing another NIke Air ad quite like Cronenberg’s! Shall have to continue my exploration of the site over the next couple of weeks.
