A year tomorrow, wow that went quick! One thing i won’t forget about seeing this fabulous movie. Was the chick about 4 seats up from me on her phone instead of watching the movie.

Am still shaking my head over that woman Cindy. Looking at your phone instead of watching Rob – absolute insanity. The urge to tell her just that would have been SO high.

There is that tactile haircut again – driving me crazy.

A perfect late night post, Maria

IKR @Michelle. It was one of those WTF moments. Obviously not a true Rob fan

Ladies! I just watched Bel Ami for the first time last night. When a film is deeply affecting I wake up thinking about it and so indeed I have. I have no one to talk to but here you are posting about it. Thank God.

I know, it’s out of chronological film order but I couuld not help myself. I, for one, did not take my eyes off the screen. Um, seducing a woman in a church??? No candles could help her.

I have so many questions about this conflicted character. The tears, the cad, the naivete, the cunning… There is a scene where Georges senses Madeleine pulling away from him so he tries to win her back over with his sexy…. his face when she gives him the dismissive sex is so painful! That was an intense scene. It gives me the chills, and not the good kind.

I am reading WFE before watching that. Not sure how to prepare to see Cosmopolis; it may very well be a New Years Eve/this is our future movie.

    Thanks for listeniing.

Maria…. Thx love, you’re killing me!!!!! lol
@Mary…. My dear one I do understand you so well and believe me your reading of the film is perfect… this movie and Rob performance as Georges will stay with you for a long time and you will go back to watch it again and again: welcome to the club hun!!!! lol

@Mary – Love your comment. I’m so excited for you.
Georges is a cad of the first order. Still, I don’t think I have experienced a sex scene in a movie before where the man is so utterly emasculated. Rob’s performance there was fearless and hard to watch.
I can’t wait to hear your next review. This is fun

Exactly, Carmel! I have to warn you though. I prefer not to know anything about a good movie before I see it. No reviews. No video clips. (It’s not easy with the internet.) That way it’s like sticking your head out the car window doing 80 mph. That’s how I found him. What a great adventure!

Smiley Rob in sunnies = WIN! Thanks Maria.

@Mary, enjoy the Rob ride! And for the record, I’m a huge fan of seducing a woman in church, especially if it’s Rob/Georges we’re talking about! Temptation at it’s finest!

@Mary so glad you are watching and sharing your reaction to Rob’s films. I don’t think anything can prepare you for Cosmopolis … it’s one hell of a ride and I’m glad I jump in that limo with him!

Am so excited for you Mary & loved reading your comments. You will LOVE Water For Elephants, Rob is so so beautiful as Jacob. Cosmopolis – I was blown away the first time I watched & continue to be each & every time I have watched since. Rob as Eric Packer is just beyond words. Look forward to hearing your thoughts after you have watched 🙂
