Agentinnen.Net sat down and talked to Jean- Stéphane Sauvaire, the French director who will be working with Rob on Mission:Blacklist.  He gives great insight into his background, how he works as a director, what he thinks is a “good actor”.   I love getting into the head of a director.  I recommend if you  loved listening to David then you are going to enjoy listening to Jean-Stéphane.  But if you really are only interested in what he has to say about M:B and Rob – then skip on over to about 18.57, where he talks about Rob, his performance in Cosmopolis, working in Iraq and again talks about M:B at 24.00.  Listening to this was like a cleansing … reminds me of what we Rob fans have in store for us in 2013.  Love it when we start to promote Rob’s future films.

Thanks to Lizzie for the tip.

A great interview, thanks for posting it @maria. I love listening to directors talk about their work and what motivates them to ake movies. Jean-Stephane seems like a wonderful guy and he genuinely likes Rob and believes in him as an actor. Music to our ears. I loved the book and can’t wait to see Rob as Eric Maddox on the big screen. The only thing that worries me is that he really is determined to film in Iraq. I hope they will be very careful and will take all necessary safety precautions.

This does sound good, but I will have to tuck it away till I have a nice block of free time. Thanks Lizzie & Maria

I really wanted to come back and listen to this and it didn’t disappoint. What a focused and interesting man. I know I was already looking forward to M:B, but this has just increased the excitement a bit more. Hopefully this won’t play out like an American propaganda piece.
ITA Maria – It is interesting to hear about looking for a uniqueness and strength in actors. Directors seem to choose their cast completely differently than I had previously imagined.
Jean- Stéphane Sauvaire. I must start to practice spelling this. I am hopeless with languages. English give me enough trouble.
