In a new interview with the Pundit Review, Eric Maddox chatted about Mission: Blacklist and the decision to cast Rob in the lead role.

Eric talks about having the final decision on casting Rob, which he called a ‘no brainer’, meeting with Rob for 14 hours earlier this month and Rob’s commitment to the project, and a bit more about the film.

Squeeee!!! I can’t wait to listen to it. Hopefully it will play on my phone during lunch break.
I have already read the book and I am sure Rob will be awesome in the role. Eric Maddox seems to be a great person and a great character to bring to the big screen.

I can’t tell you how much I loved hearing this ~ thanks so much, Suze! You’ve made my day even brighter! I bet ANY person who spent 14 hours with Rob would be genuinely impressed with the guy …… I think it would take me 14 seconds! (yeah, not even that!)

OK so I’ve snuck out of work for a few mins – shhhhh *giggles* Lucky I pack my earphones. Loved listening to this. A ‘no brainer’ – ain’t that the truth. Love hearing how impressed Eric was with Rob, smart man. Rob is so dedicated to his craft. Am about half way through Mission: Blacklist & really enjoying so far. So excited to see Rob as Eric Maddox – what a wonderful role. Thanks so much for posting Suze.

@duroysgirl I got it on kindle which I have on my iPhone as well, so I could read it during lunch breaks and all. When I got near the end I just about couldn’t put it down.
I absolutely loved it too @michelle. I actually didn’t expect to like it as much as I did…really riveting stuff – I can soooo visualize Rob in this role!!! Angry, intimidating “in your face” Rob….oh yes please!!!

Thanks for posting this Suze. really enjoyed listening to this. @Ephie I totally agree with you I couldn’t put the book down once I started and am in awe of this man and his story and the team of men who helped him in this amazing achievement. Just mind blowing the dedication and commitment. The armies around the world are full of unsung heroes, my brother being one of them. I’m so SO looking forward to Rob telling Eric’s story. And I’m thrilled the Band of Brother’s writer is involved in this – an amazing tv series, just brilliant. <3
