Wahooooo! Of course we are keeping you updated on all details of importance in relation to the HP Exhibition which kicks off in 3 WEEKS!
Can’t tell you how excited I am that Australia is now the official custodian of the sacred Robes for the next 4 months. According to the media release Maria and Michelle received, the massive holding containers arrived on our shores this week and I’m just wondering if you all felt the ripple in the force, same as I did around the time of their arrival. The air is a little sweeter don’t you think?
Meanwhile, has anyone seen this hoodie? If you can get me access to it (or who’s wearing it works well) or even a replica that will go along with the ceddie wand, please contact me immediately. I really really NEED one … thanks in advance.

Three Weeks Until Harry Potterâ„¢: The Exhibition Arrives in Sydney
Opens 19 November at the Powerhouse Museum
This week, twenty-three shipping crates containing elements of the highly anticipated Harry Potter: The Exhibition, arrived by ship in Sydney. Each massive shipping container holds the numerous props, costumes and creatures from the Harry Potter film series, as well as vignettes and immersive environments inspired by the actual film sets, such as Hagrid’s hut and the Great Hall.
“We are very excited to take custody of such a unique collection of film objects during the four-month stay in Australia. We have several teams of museum staff working seven days a week to install the exhibition over the next three weeks, in time for its opening weekend on the 19th and 20th November,†said Dr. Dawn Casey, Director, Powerhouse Museum.
Please press “Read More” to get the rest of the details …
The 1,400-square-metre exhibition will feature objects from the entire Harry Potter film series. A special selection of costumes and props from the series’ two-part finale, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™ – Parts 1 and 2, will be on public display for the first time in Sydney.
The exhibition will be staged in a new 1,800-square-metre temporary exhibition gallery that has been developed as part of the Powerhouse Museum’s current revitalisation program to accommodate major touring and in-house exhibitions.
“This is the largest exhibition that the museum has ever staged. It is fitting that such a spectacular exhibition is the first to be displayed in this fantastic new gallery,†said Dr. Dawn Casey.
This is the first time Harry Potter: The Exhibition has travelled outside North America, following its debut in Chicago in April 2009 and its highly successful runs that followed in Boston, Toronto, Seattle and New York.
The exhibition opens in three weeks at the Powerhouse Museum for its exclusive Australian run from 19 November 2011 to 18 March 2012.
Due to expected high exhibit attendance, the Powerhouse Museum will open its doors earlier for Harry Potter: The Exhibition at 9.30am (opens 9am on weekends and during school holidays) and remain open later until 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights for the duration of the exhibition.
Tickets are available now with pre-allocated session times. Guests are encouraged to book prior to their arrival to avoid sold-out time slots. Purchase tickets online at www.powerhousemuseum.com or www.ticketek.com.au

Oh yes I definitely felt that ripple … thought it was just because Rob was in promo mode, but now I know better
So looking forward to seeing the Robes … shame Rob wasn’t able to come to Oz for a good tie in during BD promo.
Awwwww Ceddie’s robes. I love that they are now in the same country as we are. So exciting & the air is definitely much sweeter for sure Vertigo, even down here in Tas 😀
Is a shame Rob couldn’t have came too, would have been a great tie in as you say Maria. Rob here along with his Ceddie robes – oh that would have been fantastic!
Me too re: the hoodie Vertigo. Oh I so want one!!!!!
So that explains the mood in the air.
I have a tiny bit of that hoodie… I think. I hope. I’m always a bit sceptical about these things.
@Carmel – There was a tiny bit of the wand on a trading card on Ebay recently too. I just wasn’t prepared to bid what they were asking based on it not having come from the official props department. Ya never know though.
Wooo! Can’t wait to go. Got tickets for my twin sis as a xmas present. I’m totally selfless lol
@Sare- there are 2 off you? Cool! Lucky Sister
I think that is the perfect gift. I might just steal that idea.
@Carmel yeah there’s 2 of us. She’s the one that I bring along to anything Rob related! She has no choice lol
