Most of you have undoubtedly heard about the collaboration of MTV, George Clooney and Wyclef Jean to host a 2 hour telethon to raise money for the Haiti earthquake.  Well according to Marc Malkin of E Online Rob has agreed to host the London telethon:

Robert Pattinson is on board.
I just got word that the Twilight star has signed on for Friday’s Hope for Haiti telethon. As of right now, it looks like Rob will be the sole presenter in London with performances by Jay-Z and Bono.”

No surprise really that Rob has agreed to help such a cause.  I’m expecting that Rob’s footage will be linked with the US, but we will update you as more information comes to hand.  For us Aussies, you will be able to watch the ‘Hope For Haiti”  telethon on MTV (FOXTEL/Austar)  Saturday January 23 from 12:00pm (AEST).  You can click on the highlighted MTV link above for more info.  If you want to make a donation, you should  head over to the Red Cross website because let’s face it only those blessed with incredible fortune will be lucky enough to talk and make a donation with Rob.
