THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: Great to see more cinemas screening the film, we’ve updated both the UK & US cinema roundup posts.  Hope all who are close can make it to a screening or even 2!  The Riga International Film Festival have updated their site with ticket info & a date for sales, September 27.  No screening date is known for TCOAL as yet but can’t be too far away.  Great news for the UK too with the news from Amazon UK that not only do we know the film’s release date on DVD but we can also pre-order, talk about exciting.  THE LOST CITY OF Z:  More great news this week re: US distribution for the film, Amazon teaming with Bleecker Street to release the film theatrically – how exciting.  Tickets for the New York Film Festival also went on sale as of today (11 September New York time) to the general public. Enjoy all the lucky ones who see the film. The New Yorker Festival is also holding an amazing event ‘James Gray Talks With David Grann’ what a treat.  IN OTHER NEWS:  The Playlist tweeted an interview with Werner Herzog from 2014 where naturally, he had some lovely things to say about Rob. We of course posted this extract about Rob back in 2014, but it’s always great to read again. Vertigo treated us to some golden Rob interviews, love your choices. Like you said Vertigo, so easy to get lost in the old vids & don’t we love it.  Maria treated us to some gorgeous crops & FOXTEL keep on spoiling us with Rob’s films, adding several more dates/times to their September screenings.  That’s all for now, until next week…
