Interesting week and a new interview from Robert! THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER: Loved that new interview from Robert and Brady for the Sunday Times interview.  Fabulous.  And yes Robert we noticed you were trying different things from The Rover and we love it.  Israel will have screenings in August. Stacy Martin has a few words to say about seeing Robert and I’ve udpated the movie reviews. Ipswich Film Theatre has added September dates, but no tickets as yet so I have updated the UK roundup. Love that BTS photo of the cast with Brady and Mona that Tom Munro shared with Kodak. DIOR:  That BTS shot with Romain Gavras looked familiar and new to me all at the same time, but I couldn’t find it in our gallery so I’m going with new. DAMSEL:  At least now we know one character name. LIFE: Argentinians get to watch this move from 17 November not 1 September as previously posted. THE ROVER:  Australia – The Rover is on TV right now. I love that new still of Rey on the road *sigh* and that larger Tsiavis portrait.  Seems to be a week of uncovering old photoshoots. Thanks as always to Posh. THE LOST CITY OF Z:  For those wanting to see The Lost City of Z at NYFF there will be two in Alice Tully Hall and 2-4 at our other theaters on 15 Oct. I can’t wait to see this film. I love that I’ve come across comments like this about the film “TLOCZ represents a form of epic storytelling that has all but vanished from the landscape of modern cinema, and a rare level of artistry.” Fandor.  In fact Kent Jones, the director of NYFF, said this about the film “It’s an impassioned work and it’s also a kind of movie-making that really is almost gone now — immaculately crafted and epic in scope,†Jones said. “It’s a movie that really becomes abstract in a surprising way.â€Â IN OTHER NEWS: Filmbox Hungary is screening Remember Me – which reminds me that I need to revisit that film. Robert and Good Time were mentioned in a Variety article in relation to Hercules Film Fund. Michelle’s eagle eye noticed that great Bruce Weber pic was posted by Vanity Fair in larger size.  She’s also making our lives difficult with her 12 month choices *grumbles*.  Coming up next week – Liam Cunningham will be doing a Q&A at the Irish Film Institute after a preview screening ahead of the UK release of The Childhood of a Leader on 19 August, Queen of the Desert will finally be released in Greece and the US gets another screening of the film at 72FilmFest|Area 31. Details for all can be found on our relevant film pages. So until then …
