What a week I almost didn’t know where to start. Almost … lots of film news this week.  Let’s start off with Queen of the Desert. I thought getting the HD trailer with no subtitles was a treat at the beginning of the week until I woke up on Friday morning to a brand new official website, new trailer and a few more glorious stills of Rob as T E Lawrence.  See patience does pay off.  Kazakhstan and Brazil are also added to the list of countries with a release date or at least potential release date. LIFE gave us a few treats this week too. Although still no hint of a trailer, surely it must be just around the corner. Release dates are a plenty with Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden and Spain now added to the list. Spain’s also waving the pom poms since it’s including the film as part of the program for the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival (Barcelona) in October. Tickets go on sale on 17 July (from memory) and I’ll be letting you know when tje link is available. Canadians I also noticed that Cineplex has both Queen of the Desert and LIFE listed on their website, but not under coming soon or no release date as yet. Still it’s there so it must mean something … right?  Italy gave us a glimpse of their poster for the film.  ARPSelection (the French distributor) speculated that the film “could be screened in September” as part of the Deauville Festival. This is a film festival held in Paris that screens only American films. The problem is – isn’t LIFE an Australian/UK/German production? They also posted one of the stills from last week on their Facebook page.  The Childhood of a Leader: Ioncinema seems to be obsessed with talking about The Childhood of a Leader being at Cannes, Venice or TIFF. This week it mentioned again in an article “And considering the pedigree of the cast and the actor’s numerous films that have played the fest, Brady Corbet’s directorial debut The Childhood of a Leader, starring Berenice Bejo and Robert Pattinson, could be a highly touted title (unless we see it hit Venice this fall or Berlin this winter).“ Thanks to Sally for the heads up for that article. Will be interesting to see where it lands. Also thanks to Sally for the HQ scans of the Total Film interview which was an  interesting read and covered quite a few of Rob’s films. What stuck out for most though was that there’s a new script for Lost City of Z and Rob’s non-committal comment about The Trap lol.   Speaking of Lost City of Z, the preproduction date was updated on IMDbPro to 28 June 2015.  That means things are most definitely happening. For those curious, preproduction means it’s prepping for principal photography which is supposedly due to start on 8 August 2015.  And if you thought the film news wasn’t enough, we had gems uncovered from some of Rob’s past films. David Gilligan, stills photographer on How To Be, gave us a huge treat this week with a behind the scenes video giving us glimpses of photos we had not seen before.  I love that film especially since the Aussie screening was the catalyst of me now co-owning this website.  Behind the scenes shots were also uncovered from The Summer House.  Much thanks to @robjectify for her stealthy unearthing of those beauties.  I know how much time can be spent down rabbit holes without uncovering any new footage, pics or info on Rob.  Also the other day when I said I hadn’t seen the old modelling shot of Rob, blame bad memory because I came across this version that I had completely forgotten about.  The Academy treated us to a throwback Tuesday (although it was Monday for them) of Rob in the audience in 2009, the timing perfect for us in the future. What a cutie.  And we ended off the week with some glorious HQs from Breaking Dawn 1 promo that we hadn’t seen before.  Much thanks goes to Posh for those. Can’t wait to see what next week brings *whipsersLIFEtrailerpleaseandthankyou*. Until then …

@Maria, I second your whisper of “LIFEtrailerpleaseandthankyou”.
We certainly had some unexpected treats this week. Just look at that collage!
Yet another wonderful wrap up Maria. It’s is lovely hear about all the amazing people and events from around the globe that are bought together through Rob.
Surely if we all collectively pray for that Life trailer something will shift in the universe making it a reality
Thanks so much, Maria! I have so-ooooo much to catch up on, and no bloody time! Life is just too rushed at the moment – I miss my leisurely Rob scouting hours like you wouldn’t believe. I pop in when I can stand the separation no longer, but duty calls (kicks? screams?) and I’m just hanging out for when it all slows down again. It’s very kind of Rob to be keeping a low profile so I don’t miss too much of what’s happening *giggles* Miss all you girls and the fun you have here! I’ll be back!
LOL @Trish we always say Rob is good to his fans. I’m kind of glad he’s not keeping me too busy because real life has a habit of interfering with my ability to stay updated on all things Rob.
