According to IMDbPro, The Rover is being theatrically released in Japan on 25 July 2015 (Distributor: Pony Canyon Inc). I couldn’t see it on their website, but I’ll let you know if that changes.

Japan hasn’t seen Rey? Well it’s high time that was rectified!
I can’t believe it takes so long for films to get around the world – if I lived in Japan, I’d have expired with anticipation by now! Good to see ‘The Rover’ finally made it. It deserves to be seen everywhere.
