*Baby you can drive my car …. ” The Astor Theatre in Melbourne knows what it’s doing – lucky Melburnians getting a Cronenberg/Rob double and just for $13 for both movies  I like the sound of Thrifty Thursday.  Wish I’d known I might have taken the red eye on Friday morning just in time for work (I can hear your brain ticking from here Sue).

If you’re fortunate enough to be able to go – do it. The Astor Theatre alone is beautiful – it’s what movie theatres should be like.

Thanks Maria (@lifeloveartfilms) for tip

Wow! What an awesome bill. I haven’t been to The Astor but watching a movie in these old movie houses really does make the night an event. Good on the Astor

I hope Melbournians ( and Sue ) come out in droves.

LMAO. Sometimes I think you guys know me better than friends I’ve had for 35 years! (You can imagine how fast I was to pick up my diary LOL.) Alas, the 15th is no good for me, so I’m hoping all you Melbournians do us proud. Such a fantastic opportunity, both awesome movies – enjoy them if you can.

And well done, The Astor Theatre. *wishing a Brissie theatre would follow suit*
