I came across this interview of Benedict from the Philippine Daily Inquirer that has a quick mention of Lost City:
“I don’t suffer from being a workaholic,†he emphasized. Laughing, he said, “At heart, I am incredibly lazy. I love nothing better than to kick back, see friends and family and just go on a few more holidays. I did actually have quite a lot of time at the beginning of this year. I was going to be doing a film, ‘The Lost City of Z’ with (director) James Gray. That was put on hold because of problems with the location. Hopefully, it will start in spring next year.
“The Lost…†is James’ adaptation of David Grann’s bestseller. He will portray Lt. Colonel Percival “Percy†Fawcett, a British artillery officer, archaeologist and explorer who supposedly discovered a mythical city in Brazil’s Amazon jungles in 1925.”
“He is currently shooting “The Hollow Crown†for the BBC and Neal Street Productions, in which he plays Richard III for director Dominic Cooper, and alongside Judi Dench.
Next he will shoot “Lost City of Z,†based on David Grann’s novel for director James Gray, where he will play British explorer Percy Fawcett, who set out to discover the City of Z in the Amazon in the 1920s.”

I’m not too fussed @Julie – we still have QoTD and Life to keep us occupied next year.
It’s incredible to think we’ve got two finished films still to look forward to isn’t it?? Can not wait to see them on the big screen and wooohooo it’s always great to hear any positive news about future projects!! I’ve got everything crossed for Z….good luck to them trying to sort out locations etc etc, I can only imagine how difficult that might be.

Hahaha @Jules we only had 5 mins to take pics and it had to be with our phones and on that 5 mins Benedict said – Put your phones away. I still can’t believe he asked a woman to leave because her baby was crying. Bwahaha Rob better be careful.
Thanks for the keeping us up to date Maria. Any possible Rob project is meet with excitement. It would be great to have Z get up with the original casting.
Life is the one that has my knickers most knotty. I am almost scared of how thrilled I am about that one.
It sure is girls, 2 finished films we are yet to see *claps hands* every time I think about that it makes me so excited. We have so much to look forward to 😀 Thanks for the update Maria, keeping fingers crossed on this one.

LOL – I’m with Carmel on the ‘knotty knickers’ front. ‘Life’ ticks all the boxes for me – interesting story, characters, time period, director and of course, actors. And this one is done and dusted. We just have to wait patiently for its release.
