It looks amazing. Hopefully soon the one by himself in HQ *been keeping my fingers crossed*.
*sigh* so beautiful & most definitely HQ. Keeping my fingers crossed for solo Jacob in HQ too Martha M – it’s gotta come soon 😀 120 days to go for us here in Aus & we are SO counting down every single one.
It will come soon @Michelle, not soon enough, but soon. 73 days for me (so exciting). But you girls get to see “Little Ashes” on the telly (so jealous). Hopefully they’ll show it here too. Soon.
@Martha I personally love seeing it on the big screen. I’ve done so twice with Vertigo. Lucky for me the Australian distributors finally agreed for me to help them find a cinema that would screen the film. I nagged for almost 12 months – see it pays off. There is NOTHING like Dali in all his cinematic glory.
Breathtaking!!!! I cannot wait for the solo Jacob in HQ. Only 120 days to go, how exciting!!!
@Maria how lucky. You’re hard work paid off. I never saw it at the cinema only seen it on DVD. Well one of my girlfriend’s has a movie room her husband built in their home, the screen in that room is as big as the one in the cinema. I took the movie to her house and I got to see it on her big screen. So it was kind of like seeing it at the cinema. She loved the movie so much, actually her husband did to, so I ordered it for her and gave it to her. She was so excited.
saw Little Ashes on the big screen in Auckland as part of a film festival last year (thanks to information from you girls at this site!!) and was at both sessions…the first one was spoilt by the malfunctioning projector and made all the screen very dark and, unless you have seen it before and know what was happening, the whole scene with Dali in the background during one of the pivotal love scenes would have been missed. took 3 of my friends along and they were really bummed about it…i lent them my DVD in recompense….but you are right, nothing like seeing Rob on the big screen. the WFE poster is so great and look forward to an HQ version of the other WFE poster with Rob on the full frontal…just saying…thanks for the lovely post.
I got to see LA at the screening that Maria organized. Unfortunately, I didn’t get meet Maria or Vertigo, but nothing beats Rob on the big screen. I will always be grateful to Maria for putting in the work that made that night happen.
@ Martha M – A private viewing of any Rob movie would be unreal. To be able to slow mo and rewind on such a large screen would send me bonkers.
@tessANZ – There must be something about the LA tape. Our screening had a little malfunction too. It was a bummer, but didn’t stop my enjoyment of the night
.
Oh yeah @Carmel that was because they *coughwereprovidedwiththewrongversioncough* at our screening. You might also have noticed that there were a two scenes missing.
@Carmel, it was very exciting, I told her she had made one of my wishes come true, I finally was able to see LA on the big screen. And I never thought about it as a private viewing, but I guess it was. You’re right. Thanks for pointing that out. I will thank her tomorrow for that private viewing.
@Maria – I certainly did notice. I also had a little heart attack at the beginning when it didn’t play.
I just didn’t want to sound like I was complaining cause I really am truly grateful to you and Randwick for making the screening possible at all.
Yeah @Carmel I don’t think Randwick realised that’s what happened. They were great to do that screening. I’ve often thought about approaching them to do a little Rob festival – HTB, LA and possibly RM. Not sure what reaction would be though because we had about 140 people say they would come to LA for that date and yet only 70 turned up. Very disappointing and because of that it would be difficult to convince them otherwise. Anyway it’s something I’ve been thinking about for while. You know apart from the screening that RPAU held – HTB has never had a cinema release in Australia.
HTB RPAU Aussie screening! Now there’s a night I’ll never forget. 😀
Only 120 days, yet plenty of time to start planning my day off to celebrate Rob properly.
I know @Vertigo – hard to believe it’s almost 2 years ago
Almost 2 years since the HTB Aus screening – where has the time gone?? Most definitely a night I will never forget too Vertigo – I smile every time I think about it. Seeing HTB for the first time – Art *floats* 😀 😀 😀 😀
