A breeze is stirring across the land … am dedicating this one to Mandy for her selfless contribution to Rob’s fandom.

Rob’s performance as Salvador Dali is honestly mesmerising from start to finish. It takes rare talent to deliver this kind of character development on screen in such a short amount of time. *beams*

Aah Little Ashes … a truly magical experience, so potent; this heart wrenching tale leaves me breathless with a warmed soul every time. I realised that trying to screen cap this beauty does not really capture the way I see or feel it. Each scene and moment is like a story unto itself. So full of life in it’s delivery, the music, the performance, the cinematography – I momentarily felt caps were not good enough.  Thankfully though, Rob’s expressions manage to remedy that. So am hoping you enjoy this montage as much as I loved breaking it down from 700 and something.  That was a bit of a heartbreaking in itself.  Ok alot!

Oh Salvador Dali, with your olive coloured voice.

No order to this thing, just like there is no limit.

p.s.  No wonder Salvador didn’t want to wear the blue.

LMAO Vertigo about the blue – I thought that too whilst I was preparing another little vid the other day that I will unleash during Dali week.

Can I say two things: firstly, these pics are just sen-freakin-sational! Secondly, Mandy – this post and all is definitely dedicated to you. Sometimes I wish we could turn back time and go back to the fun, happy days of sharing Rob. They will always be fond memories.

Thank you SO much for sharing with us – I LOVE LOVE LOVE it & agree with every word you have said 😀 LOL about the blue – I love that line in the film.

Your words about Mandy are so very true – we love ya Mandy! How I wish that too Maria, so very much.

    Ahhh

    thanks Vertigo, is SUPERB

Thank you for the captures, those pics of him in the water are mesmerizing. Salvador and Frederico were such beautiful, tragic characters and the movie had a haunting quality. I’m glad Rob bravely decided to be apart of that project.

With a degree in modern art history, Little Ashes is where I really discovered Rob. He didn’t just play Dali – he BECAME Dali. Thanks for the pics. BTW – did you know the figure in the painting in the pic you labelled Aftermath is called The Great Masturbator? It recurred in lots of Dali’s paintings and was quite appropriately placed in the film given the preceding scene…
