Ok this isn’t breaking news since we already believe.  It is however lovely to hear Christoph sees it too… and he should know right?

Rob and Christoph

The cast and crew of W4E – including Academy Award Winner Christoph Waltz, think that Rob’s so good in this film that he might be up for his own Oscar this year.  When Rob’s co-star, Christoph Waltz, was asked by fans where he kept his Oscar (won the Supporting Actor this year for Inglorious Basterds) on set this week, he responded, “It’s in my house, but the way things are looking, I might have to hand it off to Rob next year!”  And Christoph, 53, isn’t the only person on set impressed by Rob’s acting chops. “This movie is going to be amazing, and you’re going to see Rob in a completely different way, a good way,” a crew inside gushed to HollywoodLife.com exclusively, adding, “It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he were to receive an Oscar nod for this role!”

I wouldn’t be surprised either and I don’t think this will be Rob’s first nomination for a role, there are other projects he’s worked on over the past 12 months.  Just saying …

Look at what happens when he gets to step away from the Twi stuff - limitless possibilities with a chance to truely shine.  That champagne is chilling as we speak and I can’t wait for the pop.

I predicated as much too! So glad that he has chosen wisely with his films to break him away from Twilight. It would be so awesome if he was nominated!!!!!

Thanks so much for posting Vertigo. You are so right, it is lovely to hear Christoph say what we already know & truly believe. Just the thought of Rob being nominated & of course the day he accepts his first Oscar gives me chills. No one deserves it more than Rob – no one.

Exactly Vertigo, the possibilties & opportunities are endless for Rob. He is brilliant as Eddie, no one could ever play that character better, but Eddie is limiting & Rob can only go so far with what little material he is given. As we always say, it is Rob’s work outside the saga where he truly shines. Where he is free to move within these much juicier roles & have his brilliant input into his work. Looking forward to enjoying that champagne with you all. That day is coming everyone & soon.

Christoph have you been reading my posts? Well I’m glad you are in agreement with us because we’ve been saying it for some time now. He will be up there on that stage in no time or at least nominated (and deservedly so). Ah Rob it just irritates the hell out of me that we almost all missed your brilliance because of the stupidity of that industry (I don’t even want to think that HTB or LA could have been your last films) and yet there are others who claim to be actors out there and have been in the industry for awhile and are pushed heavily by studios when really they are justing pushing *&@@* uphill – I know different strokes for different folks, but a good actor is a rarity and Rob I believe is a rare gem and as we have previously all said the “REAL DEAL”!

Amen Maria well said. So good to hear Oscar talk from his peers. Rob is such a gifted actor to go with the wonderful person that he is, now let his true light shine in roles that allow him to fly.
I am almost aching with pride and the wait for 2011 is killing me *sigh

It is so wonderful when other peoole also see the talents that we see…not sure which is truer: seeing is believing or believing is seeing…

It’s so good to hear other people finally realising what we’ve known all along. When it happens (and it WILL happen), it will be more than well deserved.

Wow, this feedback has my heart racing. We know Rob deserves this kind of praise but it is wonderful to hear it from his peers.
