Well I can honestly say I’ve been waiting for this day for a very long time. Sydney please show your support of Rob by coming along to this special screening of Little Ashes at The Ritz Cinema, Randwick (click on special screenings on left sidebar) at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 9 December 2009. This is the first time Little Ashes has been screened in Australia. The Ritz have put a lot of faith in RPAU so I’m counting on you to show them how much we want to see Rob’s indie films. Seriously if you haven’t seen Rob’s portrayal of Salvador Dali, then I can’t urge you enough to come along – you will not be disappointed. Even if you have seen it, as I have countless times, there is nothing like seeing Rob on the big screen. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online by simplying clicking on the link above (go to “ticket purchases’ on left sidebar). And if you are having problems buying online then just give the Ritz a call.  I know I’ve already bought my tickets. Thanks also to Tamara at Kojo Pictures for the faith!

Classification is MA15+ which means if you are under 15 you must be accompanied by parent or guardian.

This is just the most wonderful news. Am so so excited for everyone who will be in attendance & wish so much I could be there too. Absolutely Maria, Rob’s portrayal of Dali is just beyond words brilliant. There is nothing like Rob on the big screen, just cannot beat it. Look forward to hearing all about this amazing night. Like Maria said, please support Rob & this wonderful event by attending. Definitely huge thanks to The Ritz & Kojo for being so awesome & of course to Maria for all her wonderful work on this.

Omg yay! That’s fantastic. Too bad I’m not going to be up in Sydney to come join you all.

Maybe I need to get a Melb movement happening again.

    *sigh*

Although I have already seen it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I wouldn’t mind seeing it on the big screen again!

@KD I’m working on Melbourne for you – so fingers crossed. Kojo talking to one that I know of.

I’ll be there. Just look out for the angry one who looks like she’ll be punching anyone who squeals in the movie right in the mouth 🙂

  • Maria
    Posted on November 27, 2009

Haha @Anna I forgot I was going to respond to your comment last time. Oh yeah – I’m thinking of taking a 4 x 2 with me. Seriously the squealing and screaming was the most infuriating thing during *midnight screaming*. I couldn’t wait to get away from them. The only problem with your description of yourself is that people may confuse you for me LOL

Yeah Maria, I was expecting screaming (ruined my first experience with Twilight) but surprisingly everyone was well behaved. Second time ’round was actually worse with the inappropriate giggling – what’s with that? Stoopid.

Any news on possibly getting Little Ashes to regional areas? I don’t think I can justify the 8hr drive to Sydney to see it there but I’ll be with you in spirit – go DaliRob!

Even a Melbourne one is too far for me! Do you think Perth is out of the Question?? LOL

I just returned from seeing NM in Sydney and Melbourne, so can’t just hop back over for LA although I would dearly love to.

The Ritz was great for NM!!!
Sad I didn’t get to meet any of you guys though 🙁

Thanks so much Maria! I remember speaking to a lady at the Palace Theatre group abt it back when were all in on the movement.

I tried to get in contact with her recently – but no luck. I hope Melb gets a screening. I will be there with my army!

I had a few people message me on another board i’m on going “We saw you” … it was only because they saw the anti – robert with me who was drinking himself stupid during Twilight and New Moon XD.

Hey Guys – this is such a great event – good on you for organising it! I really hope you get a big turn out!

I ,unfortunately (Rage!!), going to miss it by a day! I am coming home for Christmas for a few weeks, but fly in to Sydney on the 11th! 🙁

Let me know if there will be any repeat screenings, would love the chance to see this on the big screen.

Have a great night, and congrats again on getting it all organised! Make sure his “people” know that this is happening, it is such a compliment to him!

Ah I just responded to you over at Goz. Sorry didn’t see you had commented here. Such a shame you will miss out by just a few days. I mentioned that we are working on How To Be. Distributors at the ready and the Ritz is considering it. Umm about his people – we haven’t said anything lol maybe we are a little like Rob in that respect. We just truly believe that he is so talented and worth it that more people need to see him outside of Twilight.

yeah I agree – he more then just Twilight’s Edward – NOT that there is anything wrong with that! Love Robward! 🙂 But its great to be promoting his other films as well. I for one can not wait to see Remember Me!!

Hats off to you once again for your powers of persuation and getting the whole thing set up!
