Maria has just spoken to the Ritz Cinema in relation to doing a special screening of Little Ashes in Sydney. If you are interested in seeing this film on the big screen (remember it has yet to be seen in cinemas in Australia) please let us know which of the following dates you would prefer – given that the first one is just over 2 weeks away.  I suspect that it will be an evening screening and not during the day.  You can do this by voting in our poll at the bottom of this post.

We are just trying to help coordinate this event, so please don’t provide us with alternate dates or whether you would prefer on weekend. If we get enough interest then it may be possible that the movie might have further screenings. Also, the movie will be rated MA15+ here in Australia, not R. This means that if you are aged under 15, you must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian in order to see the movie.

Oh and for those wondering whether LA will be R rated in Australia – it won’t. It has an MA16+ rating.

Girls – it is so unfair!!! I just got home this morning from my trip to Sydney – fantastic night at the Ritz then on to Melbourne – saw New Moon again with another online mate and now you tell me this!! How much is this gorgeous boy going to cost me?? You know I would spend anything and everything I have on Rob – but seriously??? What about Perth? Do you think I could tee up something like your screening here in Perth???
    I hope so.

@Joanne – I’m working on Perth. Don’t worry we are doing all we can so that this brilliant film is released (even for one screening) around Oz.

    You girls are fantastic!

We have been enquiring about this at cinemas in Melbourne & they keep telling us it has no distribution in Oz.
The Astor has been interested and enthusiastic about screening it but say they can’t get rights to screen it.

Would so love to see How to Be on the bigscreen too.

Has anyone seen a Remember Me trailer on the bigs screen here yet?

@Kespax can you email me via the site. I’ve introduced one of the Melbourne cinemas to the distributors, so if you want to give me details of The Astor I’d be happy to call them. As for How to Be – I can also introduce them to the distributors for this and see where it takes them.
