Oliver Irving, the director of HOW TO Be, talked to Radar Online about working with Rob on the movie. Here’s a snippet on what he said:

Irving was a big fan of Rob’s from the minute he walked into the audition. “We were looking for someone who would be able to take responsibility for playing this big part in a way. Rob just got it a lot more. He was actually very un-pretentious,” Irving remembered. “He would laugh at himself and I remember when Rob came in he asked questions about the script and I realized that he actually read the script and got it. We’d start playing with the scene and I’d call him in to work with other actors and we just knew straight away that it would work.”

The article also mentions what it’s like for Alisa Arnah (the actress who played his love interest, Jessica) to work with him. Apparently, she didn’t like him very much!?! To read the whole article please click here.

Thanks to Shannon from HTB Promo Blitz for the info!

I wonder what could possibly have happened for her not to like him… What’s not to like??? Probably some silly misunderstanding, since Rob certainly doesn’t strike me as someone who would be unkind to anyone, let alone his co-stars…

    Thanks for posting this Cilla.
I was thinking the same thing, Athena. What Happened?
Then I thought, maybe Robs just not her cup of tea. *sounds crazy*
Oliver talking about these scenes makes me more impatient to see HTB.
Hurry up May. I want my DVD. 🙂

Hi guys, Alisa Arnah here. Someone told me about this article and I just wanted to set the record straight… it is absolutely not true that I didn’t like Rob! He was a lot of fun and made me laugh. Not my cup of tea romantically speaking I admit, but a great guy. Not sure where the misunderstanding came from – but now you have the truth. Thanks, Alisa.

I would believe the director because if they asked her several times to be nicer to Rob and she didn’t then something was wrong. Directors know when the stars are having problems. She shouldn’t try to cover it up now just because he’s a mega star. I can’t imagine Rob being anything but a gentleman…You blew it baby!
